The arrival was made simple by arriving by water taxi, though I would imagine it would have been very difficult if we took the vaporetto. The route indicated was blocked by construction. ... Our stay was lovely. It was our honeymoon and it was a superb choice. ... A very nice small inn, slightly off the beaten track, which was a big plus for us. The location is very close to sites, but away from the majority of tourists. Nice local feel.

The hotel was within easy walking distance of the train station, as long as one doesn't mind carrying suitcases up the steps of the canal bridges.
... The hotel staff were most helpful.Room a double superior was large with en suite. Breakfast was fine and quite enough as long as you do not require a cooked breakfast.
... Efficient and friendly, with help with our luggage. ... The room we occupied was dark, due to the closeness of the house accross the lane, almost touching distance. Lights had to be on constantly. (This is is just the layout of Venice, nothing the hotel can do about it) No English chanel on the T.V. a news would have been good. ... Just as above. I think if I was returning to Venice I might pick a larger hotel, 4star, but we did get value for money. Venice is expensive, don't go if you want to count the pennies.

The Hotel was difficult to find, but when we did the service was exelent. ... The room was beatiful and the whole hotel was tastfully decorated. ... The staff asked us at breakfast if we liked to leave our luggage until we were going to the airport. I was surprised that they remembered us and the fact that we were leaving that day. They gave information about the various ways of transportation to the airport as well. ... The intimate 'family like' atmosphere was striking as well as the elegant interior. I loved the classical music played at the breakfast room. Also the staff was so friendly and very helpfull. It was one of the best hotels I have stayed in ever! ... An elegant place with a friendly atmosphere situated at a beautiful place. I would definately recomend it!

The instructions on how to get to the hotel were good, up to the point where you get off the water bus. It was then described as a '3 minute walk'... A map would have helped, as there were lots of twisty narrow streets and choices on which way to turn! We made it, but it took longer than stated as we were unsure of the way. ... Picture of the hotel next to a canal was not a view we discovered! ... The hotel was cool, clean, with friendly staff. Our room was of a good size and the bathroom was spacious too. No view though. Slightly away from tourist area, but easy walk to Rialto and water buses.
