I feel that your website worked very well for us to plan our holiday in Italy. We were in Venice, Florence and Tuscany and booked 6 of our 7 hotels through you. They were all exactly what was presented to us, with absolutely no problems. Thank you.

We had some very particular requests that the service attempted to address, but finally we made our own choices.

we arrived in Venice about midnight so that we could experience Plazza San Marco without thousands of tourists. We had informed the hotel that we would be arriving very late, and the desk attendant was waiting for us as agreed.

The location is particularly good as there is easy access to most of the important areas of the city, and our window over a (small) canal was quite quiet.

They were very helpful when we arrived. They helped carry our large suitcases to the room. We were three single women and wanted 3 separate beds. They were prompt in remaking and separating the large bed into 2 twin beds.

Decent sized room, with a good sized bathroom. The room had an honor bar, in which you could also keep your own cold sodas or water. Air- conditioner worked well, room was always a comfortable temperature. The staff was always available, and very helpful. Great breakfast buffet, and a great location.

Finding this hotel is very easy, most especially for Venice. Directly up the calle from the vaporetto stop. This was our third trip to Venice so we are very aware of how hard it can be to find any location in Venice.

Had a delightful room overlooking the canal behind the hotel. Leaned out the window and watched the gondolas go by. Even heard some serenading!

We changed the date of our arrival several days before our planned date of arrival. The hotel was able to accomodate us and charged the original rate even though we were three days earlier than planned. We were happy campers!

We were in room 107 and there is no elevator to this floor. There apparently is an elevator to the higher floors. You might check with them on this.

Its very clean, the buffet for the breakfast is marvellous, my room was perfect (clean, good chambermaid, TV, good bed, bath towel all days, bath robe, good view on the San Maria Del Giglio Place)

Hotel Ala was a lovely hotel in a great location. It was a short distance from the water bus and also St Marks Square. Breakfast was lovely and the rooms and hotel very clean and comfortable. I would not hesitate in recommending this hotel to friends.

It should be made more clear that the water
bus stops just 50 meters from the Hotel and
the name of the stop emphasized.

A very nice place, perfectly located between Piazza San Marco and Accademia del Arte. Staff always nice, friendly and helpful (especially in finding an exellent restaurant for X-mas evening!). The Antonia-Suite was cute and cosy, but tall people better watch their head! ;-)

I My Wife and our three daughters had a wonderful stay at Hotel Ala our second stay at Ala. We will certainly return again especially if we could have the comfort and joy of Suite Antonia. We have recomended Ala to another couple who have equally enjoyed their stay. We cant get back quick enough. BILL HOGG

It really became a wonderful hotel. We stayed at Hotel Ala last in April 1978 and it has changed very much since then. In this days the water in the bathroom used to flow directliy to the bedroom. At this days it was normal, (typical Italy) we would not accept it today, but we enyoyed it, anyway, as we were rather young then.

This hotel is in a great location.
We stayed here in 1996 and 1997 and the upgrades and renovations since then are very nice, and the interior much brighter.

'Suprisingly comforatble and inexpensive, esepcially when considering you're in Venice, on San Marco- 5 mnutes from Piazza San Marco.' A very good deal for the money-though be sure to specify 'bathtub' for room requirements if you must have one, as most hotel bathrooms in Italy contain shower stalls in Italy in our experience.'

The best breakfast in Italy. The staff were friendly and well organized. The space in the hotel was well-used, but it being a converted residence, there wasn't as much of it as one expects in a modern hotel. The public areas are very comfotable and well appointed.

The rooms are on the small side, but sufficient. They are also nicely appointed, and clean. The bathrooms was large and very clean. The hotel is extremely convenient to both a vaporetto and traghetto stop. The breakfast was overwhelming. One of the nicest anywhere. Our only disadvantage was the exchange rate at the time which made things seems more expensive in dollars.

Our luggage missed our connecting flight and was being sent later by the airlines. We wanted to go out and explore the city and the concierge was very good about ensuring that it would be put into our room upon arrival. Sure enough, when we got back, it was all there in our room.

I would say 'it's a very quaint hotel, with lovely large rooms, on a beautiful square, in the heart of Venice. It's a quick walk to the main sites (Piazza San Marco, Palazzo Ducale, etc.)and just far enough away to be very quiet.
