By Car From the highway, follow directions for Venezia, drive on the long bridge (Ponte della Libertà) which links Venice with the mainland, arrive to Piazzale Roma. Best Western Albergo San Marco can be easily reached from Piazzale Roma car's terminal or from the S. Lucia railway station by means of Actv's 82 water bus. You must get off at stop number 15, that is St. Mark's Square. Once you arrive to the square on the right, under the Procuratie's porticos, you will find the 'Dei Dai' Bridge. Cross the bridge. The hotel is on the left.
By Train Water busses and taxis are right outside the railway station. Water bus costs about 3.10 euro per person and takes about 40 minutes. Get off at San Marco-Vallaresso. The hotel is only 2 minutes walking distance. By Airplane: From Venice Marco Polo airport, you may use a Alilaguna water shuttle service or a taxi to Piazza San Marco, it's only a 45-minutes ride. Alilaguna shuttle service and taxis are located right outside the airport terminal. The Alilaguna shuttle costs about 10 euro per person including one bag and takes about an hour. The ticket office is in the terminal building, but tickets may be purchased on board. Regarding Alilaguna departures from 06:15 a.m. to 11:10 p.m. there is a shuttle every hour. Since Venice is the only city with no cars, our staff will be available for suggestions on how to get to and from the hotel. |
