Restaurant Agli Alboretti: Back in the Fifties and Sixties Agli Alboretti Restaurant used to be a favourite meeting place among artists and art dealers. Also Peggy Guggenheim would eat there together with her painter friends. After those golden days Agli Alboretti Restaurant remained closed for some years until - about ten years ago - Anna Linguerri decided to bring this once-famous place back to life. |
Today the intimate dining room is tastefully furnished and the glorious American vine in the rear garden offers a welcome shelter especially during the hot summer months. The young chef, Pierluigi Lovisa has successfully taken part in a number of international cooking contests: in 1999 at the World Championship in Basel he was awarded with 2 silver medals and the following year at the Olympics in Germany he won the bronze medal. |
He skilfully prepares traditional and innovative dishes combining colours and flavours to please the eye and the taste. The à-la- carte menu is composed of few high-class dishes with seasonal recipes. Moreover, every day he proposes dishes made with the freshest produce from the daily market.
Hotel agli Alboretti is also equipped with a charming garden where during the summer breakfast can be served. The ideal place to start the day or to finish it just relaxing. Daily rates include continental breakfast, air conditioning, complimentary mini bar and taxes and service. |
