FROM MARCO POLO AIRPORT:
choose between two options:
1 - by private watertaxi
ask the taxi driver to take you to Santa Maria Formosa, this is the closest
place to our street Rugagiuffa where a watertaxi can come.
2 - by public boat Alilaguna.
You can get off at San Zaccaria or San Marco (not all the rides include San
Zaccaria station which is closer to our street). The ride takes about 50 minuits.
When you get off from ALILAGUNA boat keep going straight on your right following the waterside and pass the white big bridge "La paglia" next the Dodge's Palace. Turn the second street left, "Calle delle rasse" next the big palace "Danieli", walk to the end of it. Turn left and immediately right following the corner of the pharmacy. Keep going straight, pass the small bridge "Ponte storto" and straight again until you find our street Ruga Giuffa. We are on the left of it.
FROM SANTA LUCIA TRAIN STATION:
Take the waterbus 82 to San Zaccaria.
FROM THE PARKING LOTS:
Take the waterbus 82 to San Zaccaria.
The waterbus 1 and 82 stop in San Zaccaria.
If you are coming with the boat Alilaguna from the airport check if the boat stops in San Zaccaria. Some Alilaguna rides do not include this stop and go straight to San Marco square station.(which is just a few minuits longer walk to us). When you get off you'll find the street "Calle delle rasse" next the big palace "Danieli", walk to the end of it. Turn left and immediately right following the corner of the pharmacy. Keep going straight, pass the small bridge "Ponte storto" and straight again until you find our street "Ruga Giuffa". We are on the left of it.
We are also close to Rialto waterbus station. But if you have a lot of luggage San Zaccaria station is closer walking.(but the waterbus ride to S Zaccaria is much longer). When you get off at Rialto turn left and walk to the steps of the bridge.Once you have climbed the first flight of stairs turn right and go down . You'll find a small square called"San Bartolomeo" with a statue in the middle. You'll see a store called Stefanel. Looking at this store take the street on the left of it. This street is called Sotoportego della Bissa and is inbetween a bank and a bar on the corner. Keep following this street. You'll pass one bridge and keep going straight following Calle San Lio. Towards the end of street San Lio you'll find a supermarket called SUVE. On your left you'll find a street called Calle del Mondo Novo. Take this street until the end, pass one bridge and you'll be in the square called Santa Maria Formosa.Go to the middle of the square. On the righten side of this square there is one more bridge; after this bridge you'll find our street Rugagiuffa. |
