By Air: Marco Polo Airport is at 15 km from the hotel. From there you can take direct buses (blue or orange) or taxis down to "Piazzale Roma". It takes about 20 minutes. You may also take a private water taxi which will lead you in front of the hotel.
By Train: the Santa Lucia railway station is at 10 minutes walking distance from the Al Sole Hotel. From there you have to cross the Big Canal over "Dei Scalzi" Bridge.
By Car: you may park your car in various parking: Tronchetto parking is located at the end of Liberty Bridge; at "Piazzale Roma" there are 2 parking: San Marco parking mainly for daily use or Comunale parking for 24 hours stay. Less expensive but as practical at the beginning of Liberty Bridge you have a parking on the right. You may leave your car there and then take the bus to "Piazzale Roma". Buses pass every 5 minutes and any bus goes to "Piazzale Roma". You also have another parking in front of the railway station of Mestre. You may leave your car there end take the train to Venice Santa Lucia train station (trains pass every 5/10 minutes for Venice). Then you can go by foot or use Vaporetto (water bus) n°1 and cross at "Piazzale Roma". |
