We felt very warmly welcomed as if we were special friends who had arrived for a visit.

We had a wonderful time and the Bed and Breakfast was magnificent. Everyone was very welcoming and went above and beyond anything we could asked for. We had a family emergency in the states and we were offered comfort and assisance in connecting with home via telephone. Our hostess arranged for water taxi to transport us directly from the Al Teatro to the train station.

As I said previously we had a wonderful stay and our hostess was very warm and welcoming. We enjoyed visiting with her and felt truely as special guests in her home. We will return there when we have the priveledge to return to Venice.

the only place I would think of staying when visiting Venice. You feel at home. It is so romantic to look out your window or stand on the balcony and see and hear the gondola's sail beneath you.

The B&B was suprisingly easy to find.

The B&B owner and her staff were helpful and accommodating. We thought we would have to check out before 7 am, so she offered to get up early to make us coffee.
Our large double room was beautifully decorated, clean and quiet.

We were glad that although we arrived late, the owner welcomed us on our arrival.

The room we stayed was as described. It was comfortable during our stay, though the bed had a little squeak noise.
The only unpleasant was that we could hear the next door's noise, especially when using their bathroom. And, the breakfast time we were provided was not always on time.

We arrived very late and very tired and our host was very happy to help with anything we required.

The views from the room was spectacular, typically venice. We awoke in the mornings to gondeliers singing down the canals.

Good value for money. Perfect location in Venice. You stay in an original Venetian house while having all modern accomodation.
Brings the Venetian atmosphere to your room as you can hear the gondolas slide while the boatsmen is singing.

Staying at Al Teatro made our Venice trip all the more perfect. We liked the location, where we could sit in the window and be serenaded by the gondola's that passed by, and because it was tucked out of the way of the hustle and bustle.

We loved the fact that we could catch a taxi back to the airport, right from outside the front door of Al Teatro. We actually gave up a gondola ride (we'd enjoyed so many from the window), for the experience of weaving through the canals in the taxi, and then out into the open water!! FANTASTIC. Our very kind hosts booked our taxi for us as well.

We have described the Al Teatro as homely, clean, beautiful and peaceful. We also felt that it gave us a small insight into Venetian life, as you are staying with a wonderful family in their home. We have recommended Al Teatro to many people already.

I was very pleasantly surprised with our room ... its was immaculately clean, spacious, modern/new spotless bathroom, windows has views over canal and Elenora explained about keys and breakfast.

Its a gem.. immaculately clean, spacious, modern/new spotless bathroom, great breakfast, windows has views over canal and you can hear gondaliers singing in the mornings and the best part is that it is 10 mins walk to everything (all main sights) but is great value compared to 'hotels of this standard' in the area which are double the price.. would recommend B&B Al Teatro highly

I think the central location of Al Teatro is incredible, and really adds value to it.

I would describe it as an incredibly romantic, and charming home that has been updated with ammenities (like AC) that makes your stay as accomodating as possible. It has a fairytale location, right above a small stone bridge, on a canal that is used for Gondala cruises. It is incredible.

The only thing was I hadnt realised we had to pay cash for accommodation - luckily we had the right amount on us. Could have been a bit of a rush if we had to go out and get some.

We had a late flight and Eleanora stayed up until past midnight to welcome us - we were very happy with this and her excellent directions.

I wouldn't dream of staying anywhere else if I visited Venice again. The location is great, both the room and bathroom were squeeky clean and the view on the canal and little balcony made our stay very special. Great cappucino at breakfast!

We had a great experience. The rooms were large, spotless and very romantic, right off 3 canals. We were asked if we could switch rooms on our 3rd (last) night due to work being done. The new room was even nicer, with a small balcony.

The building I believe is somewhat older, and the entryway is a little unkept on the first floor. Don't let this fool you. The B&B is spotless, the rooms large and so romantic off the canals. You can open the windows from the corner room and look down 3 canals, seeing and hearing the gondoliers go by. The rates are a steal for Venice and the location is perfect. It is within walking distance to most everything and a vaporetta stop is close by. I would definetly stay there again.

The location was very convenient for sightseeing and the room and bathroom were very clean and well appointed. The breakfast was excellent with a large variety of food.
The one thing missing which would have made it perfect was tea & coffee making facilities in the room.

We were allowed to leave our luggage in the hall and retain a doorkey until it was time to leave for our flight.

The owners suggested where we could eat at a reasonable price and offered to book by telephone where necessary. When we asked for 2 extra pillows, they were provided with no fuss (and had been in the room in a drawer under our bed!)

Extremely central and easily accessible. It would have been better if the B and B had given directions directly when replying instead of referring to a website.
NB Unwary tourists should not be mislead as we were to get a boat around the seaside to St Mark's Square due to problems of luggage over the bridges. We should have got the vaporetto Number 1 down the grand Canal. However, this was not the fault of Al Teatro

My husband and I were delighted with our accommodation.The room was spacious and very clean.It was the best accommodation we had during our month in Italy.The location was perfect as our room had a small balcony which looked onto a canal.Also the breakfast was very substantial.

The directions from off the boat from the airport were so good we did it at midnight without knowing anything about the island.

The experience here was great. The room we were in was very nice with a wonderful view of a busy canal during the day, and very quiet at night. The area was so special I proposed to my girlfriend on the bridge in front of the B&B.

The one thing that was a suprise was the fact that we had to pay in cash. At 140 euro a night, to pay for a few nights is a lot of cash to carry.

Breakfast was very nice, and you really have a feeling you are sitting at a families kitchen table.
There is a computer with web access for guests use.
Be prepared to pay only in cash for your stay.

directions were clear, however, I was looking for a B and B sign and it was hard to spot the property. It would be a good odea to alert people that when you get outside the property there will be a canal and bridge facing you and to look closely for the small sign on the door.
The hotel was great. A gem of a place and Elanora was very nice and helpful. We'd definitely stay again and recommend it to others. Ideal location too.

The Bed and Breakfast Al Teatro in Venice was superb for our family: central location, spacious room, easily accessible by the public 'vaporetto' boat transportation, very clean, and antiques and architectural details that gave interest to this reasonably priced inn! (The cappuccino is good too!)

When I checked out of my two person room, I found out that I paid 15 Euros more than the room next to me that had 3 people. If you average that out to a per person rate,I paid an extra I paid 20.5 Euros/night more. after 3 nights that is 60 Euros for each of us in total that is 120 Euros. That is a large discrepancy!!

It was easy to find the place. There was a young guy who met us and helped to carry the suitcases. The actual B&B is one flight up.

It is a friendly. The place is a 7 minutes walk from St Marks square. We loved the view from our window of passing gondolas with singers and musicians. The location and the windows in the room made our visit to Venice a true experience of the city. Accommodations are very clean. The breakfast is minimal but they had a choice of american coffee or cappuccino. We liked the fact that you can use the internet for free any time of the day. It helped us to stay connected with our families.

Vencie is overpriced, so it's hard to say what is good value for the $$ in this city. I have stayed in Vencie twice before in the past five years, and I do feel that I received a better value for my money at the Al Teatro compared to my past two visits, where I stayed at 3Star hotels.
