On arrival at Marco Polo airport, we caught a no5 bus from just outside the terminal, which was cheap, frequent, on time and took us straight to the Vaparetto terminal.
Vaparetto system was simple, straight up stopping at all stops and the same returning.
Directions from Ca`Dor were also straight forward.

The position of the hotel within Venice was exellent, easy walking distance from all main tourist attractions. We had a view from our window over looking a canal, which was fab.
However, as for the standard of room, that was much left to be desiered.
Although the sheets were clean and changed daily, there were rips in the sheets on the mattress. The walls had black marks all around, the extracter in the bathroom was just a hole full of dirty cobwebs hanging from it and a dubious electrical flex leading into it. We expected the bathroom to be basic but not with mould in the tile grouting. In the night and early hous of the morning the room echoed with the noises of the other occupied rooms, soumd proofing also not at the top of the list. A kettle with tea/coffee facilities in the room woudn`t have gone a miss.
Having paid 110 euros per night, I felt disapointed but as we only had 4 nights in Venice I did not want to waste time lookig for another hotel.
On a positive side, the hotel staff at reception were pleasant and the location of the hotel was great.

Curtious and eficient
...
No tea/coffee facilities

The hotel not reccomended, other than the location.
However Venice was a dream, I`d go back 'yesterday!!'

It was great. The hotelier even lent us wellington boots when the 'aqua alta' came up as far as the hotel door!
Very pleasant place to stay. I'd certainly recommend it to friends.
...
It was clean and reasonably priced. It was central and easy to reach. It was a really great place to stay if looking for a good value hotel in Venice.

Good experience overall.
...
The room was spotless, and kept that way.
The only small hicup was unfortunately due to our proximity to the very busy thoroughfare between Piazza Roma and the Rialto, the street side rooms was a little noisy late at night. But it wouldn't ever deter me from going back to this hotel.
...
Great experience. Staff very helpfull
as they minded our bags (after checking out) at reception until we had to leave the island.

...
15 mins max walking distance to St Marks, 5 mins to the Rialto. Very Cantral.
...
Clean, Central, friendly. Would recommend.

Instructions clear and easy to follow, we were at the hotel approx 1 hour after leaving the airport with no problems.

The room was very basic but mainly clean. The shower room was a little bit cramped and could have used some maintenance in a minor way. e.g. cleaning around the radiator.
...
Basic but clean. Cheaper than most accommodation in Venice. Very good position close to the Rialto bridge and in between two vaporetto stops, so easy to travel around Venice.

The bathroom was very small. The room was clean. Outside noise from the little courtyard. Mosquitos everywhere since there are no screens on the windows. No TV in room.

We left early in the morning and the man was sleeping in the back, but was quick.
...
You have to turn in your key when you leave the room.

We had never been to Venice so finding the hotel was a challenge but the picture of the restaurant allowed us to deduct that we were close. Without that indication, we would have been definitely more confused given the streets of Venice.
...
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the place to my family and friends.
...
It didn't affect us in any way but if we had had mobility needs, it should be indicated that the rooms are on the second floor and that there is no other access than stairs.
...
Delightful, peaceful even if you are on the canal and over a restaurant, very well located
