The receptionists during the day, a man then a woman, were so nice and knowledgeable. I loved the hospitality. ... Perfect easy and close to everything. Loved it. ... Yes. I think you should include that if you have lots of luggage and even if you have just more than a back pack you can't make it to the hotel without taking the water taxi which is expensive. the ferry drops you off about 10 minute walk from the hotel and with stairs on every bridge it would have been a nitemare. ... Beautiful, classy, comfortable (air conditioning) but has only one English tv station for those that must watch tv.

Very Satisfactory, arrived by boat and had a short walk to hotel. ... Enjoyed ths quiet area of the Anastasia, but near to shopping and St Marks. ... No Problems checking out. Fast. ... No ... We stayed on the 4th floor, where there are only 2 rooms overlooking a quiet charming square. The room was very clean and quiet, and spacious compared to other rooms in the Venice area. The Hotel is centrally located in Venice. It was easy to walk to and from St. Marks Square, and only took a matter of minutes.

No problem reaching Anastasia, cordial welcome, room with view over the piazzetta, great bathrooms, SAT TV, all as presented. Friendly receptionist, literature on concerts, events.
... No negative comments at all. A more than continental breakfast, friendly staff. ... Bill as expected, no extra charges. The hotel stay was pleasant, problem-free, and contributed to a delightful four day visit to a magical city, one of my favorites. I would certainly recommend it, without reservation. ... No ... Perfect location, surrounded by shops and restaurants, coffee bars, nearby Internet, vaporetto stop, quiet, stress-free. An excellent value for money accommodation.

This is an outstanding hotel - nicer and cheaper than the hotel we had previously used in Venice. The recent renovation shows. Front desk personnel were very helpful. Very nice rooms/bath, good a/c, great location, very nice furnishings.
Two recommendations: - better map, directions and a sign on the Calle (street). Hotel was very difficult to find even after two cell phone calls to the front desk. - Improve the cappocino. The cappocino served in the mornings was terrible. It might get by tourists used to what passes for cappocino in the States but it didn't come close to passing the test of someone who has lived in Italy for four years - and is used to real Italian cappocino. Get rid of the automatic coffee/hot chocolate/cappocino vendng machine and make real Italian cappocino with the real cappocino machine that sits unused on the bar. ... The evening gondola tour arranged by the hotel was nice but we were not advised our party of four would be sharing a gondola with other people. Definitely took away from advertised 'romatic' experience - and made the gondola crowded and very uncomfortable. We could have hired a gondola for the same price or better and had it just to ourselves. Recommend you pass on the hotel arranged tour. The tour to the Munrano Glass Factory tour arranged by the hotel was interesting -but you need to understand that you will be met by a glass factory salesman who will remain with you the entire time. Think the vacation condo time share 'free dinner' experience and you have the glass factory tour experience - 15% factory, 85% showroon sales - and you need their water taxi to get back. If you really want Munrano glass, this is a great way to get some - just bring lots and lots of money. ... Recognizing Venice can be tricky to navigate, need to do something about the map/directions. Without a cell phone, it will be very hard to fine. ... Small, friendly, clean hotel that has been maintained up to date - with character and a great location - but be careful about the hotel arranged tours.

I was told that the hotel was about 200 meters from the Alilaguna ferry stop and thought I could carry my own bags but I didnt' consider the ferry stop to be close enough. I still needed to use a porter. With two very heavy bags I don't think the hotel is comfortable walk from the ferry. But everything else was wonderful. ... Very close to the water taxi stand. ... The breakfast was not very good. The breads didn't look very appetizing and the cappucine came out of an automatic machine. I did not eat the breakfast. I've stayed at other hotels in the area with comparaable prices and loved the b'fast. Cappucinos made to order, fresh croisants, hard boiled eggs, toast etc. The Anastasia b'fast was nor worth wasting time on. ... Small and charming and a perfect location. Very helpful desk staff who spoke english beautifully and were quick and accomodating. They were also very helpful online when I was asked questions before I booked the room.

We arrived very early in the morning. However, they welcomed very much. So, we deposited our laggages, and could start sight-seeing immediately. ... We felt a light bulb on the wall at the right of the bed burned out. ... Very good since we had heard most accommdations in Venice were very poor. ... Positive. ... We will recommend the hotel if we know some of our friends go to Venice with knowlege of the place.

Our only reservation was the size of room and limited wardrobe space for two people. A lot of our clothes had to remain in suitcases. If we had stayed any longer it would be have very frustrating. ... The amount of tables or breakfast was not enough if all guests go to breakfast at approximately the same time. ... It was fairly average and if returning to Venice, we would find an alternative. The one plus point was that it was quiet.
