We were greeted as if we were special and honored guests. My mother and I verywere touched by the heartfelt welcome to Venice we received at the Apostoli Palace. ... Our room had every modern convenience. It was also an authentic old world setting: the beamed ceiling looked to be about 15 feet high. We had two long double windows, both lamost as high as the ceiling, and with wooden shutters. One opened to a small balcony with a window box of flowers and overlooked a small fountain and a tiled roof. Three flags were hanging just to the right of this window and framed a beautiful view looking down the 'street'. The bathroom had a heated towel rack which was extremely useful! Each room was named after a saint. We had very nice pictures in our room including an engraving of San Mateo. It couldn't have been more charming or felt more like the best of Venice. ... Check out was quick and courteous. The staff recommended us to check out the night before because we were leaving very early the next morning. Athoguht there was someone on duty all the time, this option eased our minds since we had such an early morning and several connections to make before we cought our plane. ... The continental breakfast was simple but sufficient. The cosy but elegant dining area had its charm and special touches. This hotel was a bit off the beaten track and I loved that about it. We enjoyed winding our way to the Rialto each day. The Apostoli is not a tourist-y area - another plus. We also found some excellent restaurants around the Apostoli church square. It was very quiet at night. ... The Apostoli Palace has all the charm of Venice but without the crowds or hustle-bustle. I felt like a traveler and not like a tourist. It is a smaler hotel and consequently has an intimacy to it and an excellent service level. Each evening when we came in we were greeted and asked how our day was. I would recommend this hotel without reservation to anyone.

Location is down a very small road and somewhat difficult to locate. But the hotel was quaint, centrally located, quiet, and clean. It was our first visit to Venice, and the staff was very helpful in addressing our questions.

The map and directions on the website (as supplied in a link emailed to me after I booked) were not as clear as I would have preferred. Venice is a very convoluted city and it took several attempts, plus asking some locals, to find the hotel. It didn't help that the map available (for E2.50) from the Tourist Information at the office at the train station didn't show Calle del Padiglion either; but that is not the fault of VeniceBy.com. ... Out of a 2 week stay in Italy, visiting many cities, the Apostoli Hotel was the find of the trip as far as accomodation was concerned. It is a charming bijou hotel, tastefully appointed and with an oustanding character. It is situated in a great location for exploring Canna Regio and San Marco. The staff was very friendly and helpful, showing us some excellent places to visit during our stay and taking care of booking us into a chamber orchestra recital while we explored the city. I would definitely recommend the Apostoli and would stay there again.

A very friendly welcome, typically Italian. ... An excellent well kept hotel that is very close to the main tourist area but in a very peaceful location. ... Everything prepared and given helpful advice on the easiest way to the airport. ... Italian breakfasts are served which may not be to the taste of tourists from other countries. We expected the traditional Italian breakfast so it was not a problem. ... A well located hotel that is a a little gem. It is beautifully decorated and well run by the excellent hotel staff. Everything was excatly as I hoped for.

It took us a while to find the hotel due to the confusing layout of the Venice streets. The hotel is situated in a very narrow alley. It will help if there are more signs pointing to it from nearly streets. We arrived early. We ran into the owner who was extremely cordial and gave us good recommendation for resturants near by. We left the luggages and went to lunch. ... We are very happy with our stay. Rooms are fairly spacious. Staff is cordial. There is no elavator and guests have to walk up many steps to reach the rooms, which may post problems to older or disabled guests. ... We did all the paperwork the night before we left. We had a wakeup call at 4 am. The Conceige called a water taxi for us to the airport. ... Should include the number of steps leading to the rooms to warn those who may be hard of walking. ... A small, nice, quiet, and reasonably priced hotel with great rooms and services and is away from the hustle-bustle of the tourist scenes.

We took a water taxi and so there was no difficulty finding the hotel..We were absolutely thrilled with it. And it is clsoe to the action but just far enough away from the huge crowds. I would definitely recomend it to anyone. This was the last week in a 4 week trip around N Italy and the hotel was one of the nicest. Thank you. ... Very easy ... I like that it is just a little away from the crowd but only a 3 minute walk to SM square ... Very friendly, pleasant room and quiet

Htel was of a good standard and the rooms were a resonable size, have had past experience of tiny rooms not much bigger than a small bed..! ... Difficyult to find places in venice, but that just venice a realy good map on the web site with all the alleys on would be useful in the case of venice ... A good experience this time ... A good clean hotel in a quiet area a short walk from the touristy bits that you want to see.

Even although we arrived at 11:30pm due to our late flight we were still greeted by a very friendly and polite receptionist, armed with 2 glasses of wine! ... The hotel is ideally placed for exploring Venice i.e. only a 2 minute walk from the Rialto bridge but is in a vey quiet district. ... I would have no hesitation in recommending the hotel to a friend. ( I also found the worldby.com website to be extremely accurate and invaluable in deciding which hotel to choose)

The pictures on the website are deceiving in that the room we had was tiny. Our luggage barely fit. Yet in comparison, the bathroom is too large for the tiny room.
It took us an hour to find the hotel. The map on your site should have a zoomed detail for each hotel property with each via marked accordingly.
However, once we got comfortable the hotel is lovely and we met the owner on our last day who is a gracious man. Overall, the hotel is cute and once they get their sign on the street, may be easier to find.
... I know that Venice is expensive, but we walked around the St. Mark's Square area and the hotels right on the Grand Canal were less expensive or about the same. I think the 195 is a lot for the hotel, especially since we stayed in a fabulous 5 star hotel in Rome for $152.
