If I return to Venice, I would consider stay here again. I cannot say that about all of the places I stayed in Italy! This place was clean and pretty hosted by friendly, warm people. It was also in a great location. The price was very fair.

We traveled in 5 countries and stayed in B&B's in each one. The Locanda Arco Antico was the best of all. The rooms were beautifully decorated, comfortable and very clean. The hosts and hostesses made us feel at home immediately & were very helpful regarding suggestions for touring, eating, and transportation. The experience of starting the day in the lovely breakfast room with a nice variety of food to choose from was very much appreciated. The host or hostess were always present to replenish the dishes, serve coffee,etc. My husband spent an hour or so one evening conversing with one of the hosts about the history and infrastructure of Venice and outlying Islands. The host was so gracious in giving his time and information. I have already recommended the B&B to friends who will be travelling to Venice this fall.

As I have already commented,the Locanda Arco Antica was the best of all our accomadations. I would describe our room and experience just as stated above in my evaluation.

We were very much made to feel welcome and we were given advice and maps about Venice- good information was also provided about reasonably priced restaurants.

It is more charming than we had imagined. Also, for the quality of the accommodation, it is very good value for money. We had bden to fifenze for three days prior- and the hotel n firenze was not nearly as nice as Arco Antico and the firenze hotel was also far more expensive. arco Antico is geat value and the wners and such nice people.

We had never been to Venice before and we walked from St Lucia station. The map on the website needed to be more comprehensive. As the hotel is only new, not many locals knew of it. However, once we found the hotel, the staff were fantastic and very helpful for the duration of the stay.

The staff spoke excellent English and were very helpful in answering our questions about activities in Venice. The rooms were very clean and had great character. The breakfast that was included was all you could have asked for.

Should include directions for visitors who would want to walk through the lanes of Venice to Locanda Arco Antico from the bus station.
My family and I enjoyed the walk from the station to the hotel (on arrival) as well as hotel to station (upon departure) - though we got 'lost' a couple of times.

Totally confusing directions. We walked from the train station and when we got to the plaza mentioned there were numerous arches. But we finally figured it out.
We were extremely pleased with the accomodations. They were exactly as promised and were extremely clean and the staff was very helpful and accomodating. It was a great value for the money spent
We took their card and would readily recommend to friends.

On our second visit to Venice we knew we didn't want to stay near San Marco. Locando Arco Antico is a little gem tucked away in a quiet neighborhood, away from the tourist crowds. However, it is located close to the vaporetto stop and not far from the Rialto Bridge. We were pleasantly surprised by our lovely spacious room and modern bathroom. We required an additional bed for our daughter and there was plenty of room. The hotel is well-kept, clean and quiet. The continental breakfast is simple, but very good, with good coffee. I would give an unconditional recommendation for this hotel. We thoroughly enjoyed staying here, and would definitely return.

Following the directions given was confusing, but our stay was outstanding. A map with the private dock at the base of the street would be helpful, and if taking the Vaporetto (as one of the couples did), a better map would help. It's a confusing neighborhood, but worth the effort to find.

Stairs could be a problem because it was difficult to get heavy luggage up to rooms. Our luggage was taken up to our room later in the day where one of the male owners arrived. Airconditing was not as strong as we would like, especially if it was really hot.

We arrived with a lot of luggage and although there are no lifts here, we were helped with our luggage taking them up the stairs. We found them to be most helpful, could speak english and were quick to provide advice as necessary.

We had an amazing time here. We were a family of five + 2 nieces who also joined us there. The 5 girls shared the Vivaldi room and my wife and I had the Goldini room. Although the rooms are not overly large there was sufficient room for all of us. The rooms are delightfully decorated and the whole place has a magnificent ambience. The breakfasts were excellent and there was always plenty on offer. We found all the owners to be very helpful and were quick to ensure that if we had any concerns that they were handled immediately. Although initially it is a little difficult to find, once you have your bearings it is very easy to get to, and is only a short walk to the Rialto bridge. It is often the case that upon finding yourself in a wonderful location the enjoyment of that place can be spoiled if your hotel is not adequate, and likewise it can be enhanced if the hotel has an ambience and feel that lends itself to that place. Well Locanda Arco Antico falls into the latter category. We had a great time there and would highly recommend it to anyone.

hotel. The accomodations were nice, though
it should be made clear that there were many
stairs. We were at the Vivaldi Hotel, in
the top room with the loft. Bathrooms were
clean and updated, and the owners were
helpful.
