The restaurant is not in the hotel but in the very lively Campo Santa Margherita, in the university area, just a short walk from the hotel self.  Hotel Atlantide is situated in the famous Lista di Spagna, a very central and lively area where guests can enjoy the typical Venetian atmosphere together with the convenience of being just a short distance from the most important places of Venice, in an area abounding in artistic and historical treasures!
Several pubs and cafés are situated very close to the hotel. There is also a cinema (5 minutes walking from the hotel) a disco (1 minute walking from the hotel), a public swimming pool (10 minutes walking from the hotel), a public library (5 minute walking from the hotel) and so on.
Taking Hotel Atlantide as a starting point guests can make the "Grand Canal Tour" by public motorboat number 1 leaving from the Venice railway station Santa Lucia (situated at less than 1 minute walking from the hotel) to Saint Mark's square. During the tour you can admire the boots crossing the canal and all the wonderful palaces and coloured buildings situated on the sides of the Canal. |
 In San Marco's square, the artistic and historical centre of the city, guests can visit the famous Doges Palace, San Marco's church, the Bridge of sights and the Correr Museum.
From Hotel Atlantide guests can reach by walk Rialto Bridge, the oldest area of the city, where now it is possible to shop in very small and cheap typical Venetian shops as well as in well-known expensive stores, famous all over the world. Not to miss is the famous Jewish Ghetto, the oldest one in Europe, and admire its Synagogues and the Jewish museum.
You can make also the "Murano, Burano and Torcello Islands Tour" by public motorboat number 42 leaving from the Venice railway station Santa Lucia (situated at less than 1 minute walking from the hotel) to Murano Island. Murano is famous for its very ancient glass factories where it is possible to admire the glass-blowing art. From Murano you can easily reach Burano by public motorboat, it takes you about 25 minutes. Burano is famous all over the world for its lace production and for its houses painted in very lively and different colours.
From Burano guest can easily reach Torcello by public motorboat, it takes you about 1 minute. Torcello is the oldest island of the Venetian lagoon, distinguished by a very peaceful and romantic atmosphere and by a wonderful basilica.
Guests can visit also the famous Lido Island, where the International Film Festival takes place every year in September. From Hotel Atlantide to Lido Island by public motorboat number 51 or 52 it takes you about 45 minutes. In Lido Island you can sunbathe in the wide and very clean public and private beaches, or you can practice any sport: surf, tennis, skate, golf, volleyball, cycling and so on. |
