One of the main attractions placed close to the b&b is Ponte Rialto, a landmark to Venice. It crosses the Grand Canal and is the oldest among the 3 bridges that do this. You must also go to Piazza San Marco -line 1 of the vaporetto gets you there- and among the commercial areas, try the Cannaregio, featuring trendy shops. As far as religious temples are concerned, check the Madonna Dell'Orto, a church in Venetian Gothic style.
