We arrived early and they couldn't find my reservation. I had my confirmation printout which I showed them and then everything was fine. They held our luggage until our room was ready and offered a complimentary tour of the Murano glass factories. This was very nice. They arranged everything and when we returned our room was ready. ... It was more than I expected. The room was beautiful overlooking the canal. The window opened and we were able to enjoy the sites and sounds of the gondolas passing. This was so much fun. The hotel was very clean and beautiful. ... The staff was exceptional. ... They offered us a complimentary trip to the Murano factories while our room was being prepared because we were early at check in. This was so nice. ... It was a lovely hotel right in the middle of Venice. Everything was so convenient. I would definitely stay there again.

The staff were very helpful, and the hotel was excellent. Typical venitian, Wood floors with rugs, large comfortable beds, and full marble bathroom. We had a deluxe double room with canal views. The breakfast was well presented but a lottle disappionting in choice. Our only complaint was on enquiring about water taxi transfer the hotel quoted us double the cost if we booked over the internet before we arrived.(Which we did not do) On arrival we questioned the amount and was told the correct price of 90 euros not 150euros each. ... The position was better than we expected once we got our bearings. The water taxis were suppose to drop us to the hotel but left us at Rialto bridge dock, and we had to nagate the maize of streets to the hotel.
We would definately stay there again. ... On our request the staff organised our water taxi to the airport, and the porter did everything for us. And with a smile. ... The best advice for travellers is the land mark of BURGER KING. It is on the corner of the small square just down from the Bonchevetti Hotel. A sign on the side of the Hotel would make it easier to find. The front is easily found from Saint Marks Square, but from the Rialto Bridge side it is a little hidden. ... Charming and a delight to look out of our hotel window and watch the gondolars go by, and people pausing on the bridge to enjoy the atmosphere. Romantically charming sitting in their restaurant, enjoying good food and people watching, as many like minded travellers enjoyed Venice.

i ordered double bed, there were twin beds. i asked for 6 roses and welcome drink, there was nothing. it was my 33 years wedding present for my wife. i must say a bit shameful. ... pay more attention to what is marked on the voucher. the bread at breakfast was not fresh , coffee from a machine, not expresso. breakfast dissappointing. ... low season rate acceptable.

Compared to other excellent hotels, the welcome was extremely subdued and I felt I was imposing on the staff by checking in. ... I needed access to the Internet as I was on business and booked this hotel specifically because the hotel proudly boasted Internet facilities in every room. (very difficult to get Internet access in Venice). The system was down and I was told by three different people it would be fixed 'soon', 'by tonight', 'by tomorrow morning',but it never was. I left after two days with no apology and no eplanation. I am Italian and have travelled in Italy for many years - I am used to the Italian practice of avoiding responsibility in the service sector, but in a so-called four star hotel in one of Italy's greatest cities, I had expected something more. ... I felt clearly that the staff was avoiding the issue of the Internet problem. They made no mention of it. I had expected at least an apology or a 'Did you have a good stay?' - but nothing. Only 'Thank you, goodbye' - remarkable for a four star hotel - I booked for three people for two nights - I was relieved to leave. The staff created an extremely unpleasant atmosphere. ... The staff are not very professional - guests should expect 2 -3 star treatment. The location of the hotel is excellent - close to ATMs and travel agency where you can book train tickets. As a four star hotel I had expected the hotel to provide this ticket service but unfortunately not. ... If you are on business, you should not contemplate staying here - not a business-friendly hotel. It is a three or two star hotel hiding behind a four-star logo.

Excellent location between St Mark's Square and Rialto. Well appointed public areas. Good bathroom facilities. Good bedlinen. But why, when the hotel was not full, do they give quests a small rooftop room? So a disappointment at the small size of the bedroom.

The room was extreamly small & not up to the standard I would expect of a 4* hotel. In particular the wardrobe space was shoddy & of very poor build quality. ... I would not recommend this hotel to a freind.

As it was the first time in Venice, although the directons are clear to the Hotel being in the middle of the streets etc was a little confusing and a larger scale map would have been helpful. ... Could have done with tea and coffee making facitities in the room. ... No ... No ... Clean, well appointed and quiet, far enough away fom the noise of the city centre to escape but close enough to feel apart of it.

Located near good shopping area and the Gondola station is just a few steps away.
The receptionists offer you a ¨free¨trip to Murano. You should not take it because it is only to one factory. It seems that the hotel gets comissions for everything they book. ... Very romantic. Clean. Great location

Management of the breakfast was not good, the main coffee maschine was not working,tables were cleaned late and when the staff showed up it was shouting to each other and almost fiting. The clening of the toiletts at lobby was not good incl. bad smell. Conclusion: Lack of catering and cleaning management. ... SEE ABOWE coments! ... Perefect location ... Ok with very good location with the coments regarding the lobby toiletts and the breakfast - which both were very negative for the hotel.

Room was very noisy every morning when boats unloaded trash and supplies starting at 5am, right outside our window. Too many cruise people at hotel, ate all the food at breakfast, sat all over lobby with luggage, etc. ... Staff was not very friendly, only one person at the desk was reasonable.
