The entry to the hotel was disappointing....Its was more like going to a slum area.

Very difficult to find. perhaps you should use more signs leading people to your hotel.
These signs should really be from the vaparretto station at the rialto bridge.
A better explanation could be used, for example. At the vaparretto station walk back to the bridge, at the top of the bridge turn right about 100 meters turn left. Go over a small bridge and go past the COIN shop on the right. take the first right and then right again, walk through a small alley-way and there will be an iron gate on the right hand side. Go through this gate and our reception is at the top of the stairs. (I hope that I have got this right) ...
a quaint and tranquil hotel set in romantic surroundings which tipifies the splendour of venice.

We were shown directly to our room and all services were explained. ... This was a beautiful, well run, tastefully decorated hotel and in an ideal location for what we wanted to and planned to do whilst in Venice. ... Excellent, the staff even looked after our bags until we were ready to transfer to the airport. ... More emphasis on its very strategic position for exploring Venice ... Friendly, relaxing, ideal location. We would also show photographs we took of the hotel to show the Venetian decor and its location.

We were shown immediately to our rooms which were spotless thankfully cool and beautiful ... Hotel Ca'Amadi is in a very good location for Venices Rialto Bridge and St Marks etc yet is on a quiet backwater, therefore, perfect to retreat at end of day. It has been refurbished to a very high standard and in keeping with the building. Tasteful yey comfortable. ... As above- a quiet location yet very close to Rialto and only ten minutes stroll from St Marks. Breakfast with choices of juices/cereals/yoghurts/pastries & conserves plus any style coffee or tea ... Wonderful...Beautifully decorated...Historic... Romantic...all my group WILL return to Ca'Amadi!

The Place was really hard to find but we met some locals that took us to the door so we were very lucky. ... It was a Fantastic Holiday and the Room was extremely clean and inviting! Would reccomend Ca' Amadi to any one! ... I think Directions should be stated very clearly as the place would be impossible to find without exact directions ... Well i would say it was extremely clean neat and Beautiful! I was a beautiful B&B and would reccommend it to any one that wants to stay in a romantic, fairly central, friendly, place.

Ask for room 108 if you want a truly Venetian experience. Looks out on the canal with the gondolas passing. Absolutely superb. Can't wait to go back!

It was a beautiful room with great staff and accommodations. Slightly hard to find, but so was everything in Venice initally. Once we got oriented in the city, the hotel was in a great location to all the attractions and restaurants that you could want to go to.

Wonderful friendly and professional service ... Fantastic small luxurious Hotel in an ideal location. ... No problems at all ... The Location is ideal but could be difficult to find. Easy directions could be given as 'from rialto bridge and round the postoffice, to church (San Chrisostomo I believe) turn right & follow small streets to C'Amadi Court on the right'
I however had read a review that it was difficult to find but managed it without printing off your directions. ... We got a free upgrade to a suite & trip to the Casino & water bus passes for 3 days, for not much more that a normal room rate.

We had a very nice experience. The staff and accomodations were really excellent. I would recommend the Ca'Amadi as a very central, extremely clean and accomodating location to stay. They recommended restaurants, helped us to purchase tickets to a musical performance and were generally far above average. ... see above ... see above ... They don't brag about the fact that this villa is where Marco Polo was raised as a child. That is kind of special! ... Also, the excellent location is not bragged about enough - very central to the Rialto Bridge (less than 3 minute walk), to San Marco (not more than about 15 min walk), and yet not a noisy location. As you wind your way through two short 'streets' you become peaceful and relaxed after crowds.

Very nice. ... We could not have asked for more. Great staff, great room. Very private, yet easily accessible with regard to all Venice attractions. I had been to Venice previously and stayed at a hotel near San Marco that was considered a nicer hotel than the Hotel Ca' Amadi. However, I was much more pleased with my stay at the Hotel Ca' Amadi. Terrific hotel! ... Quiet, quaint and private, yet charming and located very close to the Rialto bridge. Very spacious suite with an excellent bathroom. Courteous and helpful staff. This is a perfect hotel for couples or anyone else looking for a peaceful environment with a tremendous location.

Wash cloths in bathroom would be nice and also a little more shelf space and a magnigied makeup mirror would have been great. ... A great location. Small, but not tiny room. No view, but did have a window. Loved the decor and atmosphere of the room. A good valve for Venice. Had a pleasant stay.

We took a water taxi to a nearby street - the taxi driver was not familiar with the hotel and we asked some local folks to direct us - the entrance was off a hidden courtyard and not labeled at all. By chance we rang a doorbell and the resident yelled at us we were in the wrong place - the hotel lobby window was open and we were rescued by the hotel clerk. ... The room promised air conditioning, which was not operable. The weather was cool enough to sleep.
We experienced plumbing problems, the staff was very efficient about it. We were thanked by them with a bottle of champagne. They were great.
The breakfast was very nicely presented and the selection was good. The hotel was extremely clean. ... Went smooth. No financial surprises!!! ... Make more out of it having been Marco Polo's home. ... Next time I am in Venice - that's where I am staying again!!!! The staff was great.

Yes, the directions were confusing, but that is always so in Venice. I just asked for directions at another inn. Perhaps the directions (from Rialto) could say to walk to the pink church, and turn right in front the pink church. (Do not walk past the church). Then look up to your right for the Ca'Amadi sign. ... A most perfect inn, a bit out of the way, private and quiet, on a small yet well- travelled canal. Beautifully decorated and non-smoking throughout! Bright, fresh and clean. A young, friendly and very helpful staff. I loved the contrast of the young and 'hip' Italian owners/staff in this traditional setting. ... Non-smoking throughout. Very recently renovated in traditional Venetian elegance with contemporary bathroom features. ... An inn I would definitely return to. I have visited Venice many times and have always wished for just this style of inn, elegant, private, on a canal yet off the well-trod paths. Thanks to the internet I was able to find exactly what I wished for! Looking forward to returning to Ca'Amadi.

we arrived very late at night, and were so happy that the owners had assured us someone would be there, etc. It was very warm and welcoming. ... For us, this was a very expenisve place to stay, but as I understand it, it was average for Venice. ... The building was one of the homes owned by Marco Polo's family - I thought this was wonderful, and I didn't remember this from the website. This is one of my daughter's favourite facts from our trip. ... Excellent location; quiet, clean, lovely rooms; canal-side; great bed; helpful, polite hosts; breakfasts less than wonderful; wonderful, historic building and area; slightly tricky to find at night - they had offered an escort, but I decided againsst it for the price. On second thought, I may have done this, since we arrived at almost midnight.

The entrance to the B&B is in need of upgrade.
The room I reserved was not available, so I received a lesser room the first night and a superior room the next night.
Overall the experience was good.
The accomodations were clean and well kept.
The breakfast was adequate. ... A quiet, quaint get away in the middle of Venice.

very enjoyable. Just what we had been looking for - central yet quiet. ... Perhaps the fact that there is no restaurant or bar would be useful - although it did not bother us at all ... Quiet, clean, friendly

quite difficult to find, but once there, checked in quickly, no problems with voucher at all ... had a lovely large spacious room. the hotel did not have many services but this was not necessary in such a small place as venice. we had an excellent stay there. the hotel has a good location, not far from st.marks square and very close to rialto market and lots of lovely bars nearby. ... check out very quick and efficient. ... Good location and excellent value for money.
