By Train:
Santa Lucia Railway station is located approximately 1 km from the center. The hotel is easy to reach by private water taxi (20 minutes ride) or by public transportation (VAPORETTO) serviced by line 1 (45 minutes), line 82 (35/40 minutes), line 51 (30 minutes) to landing-stage San Zaccaria (16); cost per person € 3,10, luggage not included. The VAPORETTO tends to be very crowded, especially in high season, and in general during peak hours. From the boat-stop take "Calle delle Rasse" (in front), at the very end of it turn left in "Campo San Filippo e Giacomo", at the right corner of this small square take "Calle Sacrestia" and turn left before the bridge (into "Calle di fianco la Chiesa"), pass the porch on your right and you will be in front of the hotel.
By Car:
Garages where is possible to park the car are "Tronchetto" (at Isola del Tronchetto) or "Garage Comunale" and "Garage San Marco" (at Piazzale Roma, the bus-terminal). Tronchetto: as you approach Venice, at the traffic light after the "Ponte della Libertà", the bridge linking Venice to the mainland, turn right and follow signs to Tronchetto Island.
By Plane:
Marco Polo International Airport is about 10 km far from Venice.
The hotel is easy to reach by private water taxi in 30 minutes; ask to the taxi-driver to stop at Campo Querini Stampalia" located 1 minute from hotel (from there cross the bridge to come into "Fondamenta del Remedio"., where the hotel is located - at the end of this street), or "Ponte della Canonica", 2 minutes far from hotel; from this last point take the street down of the stairs on your right (don't cross the bridge!), walk straight into "Campo San Filippo e Giacomo", at the end of it, on your left, take "Calle Sacrestia" and turn left before the bridge (into "Calle di fronte alla Chiesa"), at the end of it pass the porch on your right and you will be in front of the hotel. You can come in Venice also by the shuttle-boat service at the costs of € 10,00 per person, 1h10m ride with stops in Murano Island and Lido and finally at St. Mark's Square. From the landing-stage walk on the right straight along the "Riva degli Schiavoni", cross the bridge in front (Ponte della Paglia) and take the 2nd street on your left, "Calle delle Rasse". |
