Irina and other staff very welcoming and
helpful. We enjoyed the location near the
Campo de Bandiera e Moro. Quiet, with local
businesses such as a hardware store, yet easy
to get to all the sites and activities in
Venice. Also very convenient to the
vaporetto, when arriving with luggage.
The breakfast service, in a separate building
from some of the guest rooms, was in a
pleasant room with a courtyard (too cool to
eat outside in October) and was generous and
varied. Our one comment was that breakfast
starting only at 830 AM felt a bit late for
travellers like us who often like an early
start on the day. A minor issue.
This was our first visit to Venice. We would
stay here again. We would go elsewhere only
to try a different neighborhood.

Ana was waiting for us and she welcomed us with open arms and lots of warmth. He made us feel at home immediately and provided the best room and all the information to make our stay fantastic at Ca' del Dose.

Checking out was smooth. Ana kept our luggage until we could come back and pick it up after our morning walkathon.

Negative--some people may not like the church bell ringing near the hotel piazza. We did not find it to be a problem.
Positive--you should definitely mention about the little grocery store and other stores which are behind the piazza which are so nice and useful to get some supplies.

Great value, friendly and clean, just what you need if you want comfort and cute. The hub-bub from the local square was authentic Venice and the hotel is perfectly close to St Mark's but without the mad crowds!

Marco was there to greet us, even though we didn't arrive until after midnight! he was extremely cheerful and took our bags to the room.

In a great location, both Marco and Anna were incredibly friendly and helpful.
Room was very good value, and it was a nice surprise to see that we had air conditioning.
Would definitely return.

This hotel is centrally nestled in the popular tourist areas of Saint Marks Square, Peggy Guggenheim's museum, the Grand Canal, The Dukes Palace, shopping and eateries. Located down a side street this quiet little hotel is a gem with cheerful and helpful staff that made my stay so enjoyable.

The people we dealt with--Anna and Irene--were always friendly and helpful. I needed to use their cell phones to call home a couple of times (using my own phone card) and they not only lent us theirs, but also dialled the number for me. They are wonderful people!

I have never experienced the courtesy that was showed by the staff at Ca Del Dose to my wife and myself anywhere in the World, especially UK !
We wanted to find information about train times to Verona. We enquired and were told that information would be ready on our return.
The staff had used the internet and printed train times and costs for us and left in our room, a small jesture which helped us have a wondful visit to verona.

#8 - The room was clean and spacious, but it was noisy because it was on a busy, little walking street with a sidewalk bar right next door. However, we both managed to sleep well in spite of the noise.

Ca' del Dose is very conveniently located...close to San Marco and easily reached from the waterbus stop. The people are sweet and friendly, ready to help in any way. The Alilaguna boat to Marco Polo Airport was just a few stops away, making our departure easy. We would stay here again.

Although the directions were not clear (gave directions from water bus before St Marks, we did have a map which we used and got to the accommodation with no problems. The receptionist was there to greet us, even though we did have a delay and arrived at 11pm. She was very friendly and extremely helpful throughout the stay. The accommodation was excedingly clean and the perfect location for our stay. If we visit Venice again, it would be the first hotel we would try to book in at.

there is a mistake in your direction of the location of the hotel. the bridges between the ferry on st. mark quare are two instead of three as you state in the instruction. i think it is better to attach a map of the hotel in your website. then we could follow the map instead of the instruction, because sometimes the locations of ferries are changed.

The best thing about the hotel is its location - a walking distance to Piazza San Macro and right in front of a ferry stop, makig it very easy to go around the city. The single room I stayed was kinna small and can be noisy at times (on the ground floor next to the street) but for the price I paid, it is a very good deal considered it is Venice. And the host, Anna, was extremely helpful and friendly.

It was a great position very close to all facilities. The only thing it was very noisy at night and the walls are paper thin. The only suggestion I would make is that there is a fridge provided and breakfast was not well provided for as stated in description.

The room where we stayed was on the nearby square and was not in the hotel.I loved it-but for someone who might want the feeling of being in a hotel,they should specify to be put in the main building. This place was like a private little pied-a-terre.

It was absolutely charming!We stayed in a newly renovated room with it's own private terrace where we had hot tea in the afternoon.The furnishings were cozy,the room immaculate and there is absolutely nothing I would have changed about this hotel.It was close enough to St. Marks for convenience but on a very tranquil little square.I've been to Venice several times and never stayed anywhere that was a better value.Anna was always there to help when we had a question.I would'nt hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone.

She was so helpful with what sites to see and where to eat, etc. I could tell she was such a hard worker and put in so much effort to make the guests comfortable. Anna's complete friendliness and generosity. In via garibaldi (two streets away) there is a fantastic local wine bar - El refolo. This apartment is the place to stay if you are wanting to be close to the venice biennale. It takes five minutes to get there!
