The room was bigger than expected.

Very clean,quaint,friendly and central but also very tranquil.I would have no hesitation in recommending it and would hope to stay there again on a return visit.

Hotel is on the canal side in a quiet part of the canal system.
It is also only a short walk to the Canale Grande

Best way to arrive /depart is by water taxi as the hotel is not easy to find, but has water frontage! If you don't have much luggage, you can pick up a vaporetto from the Grand Canal within 5 minutes walk.

Friendly, good value and very central. The rooms and bathrooms are fairly small, but perfectly adequate.

I found the hotel in only a few minutes after getting off the vaporetto stop at Ca'D'Oro

Room was comfortable with a large modern bathroom and shower. Staff was helpful and friendly. Plentiful breakfast that was much more than advertised, including meat and cheese.

The room was cheaper through WorldBy.com, than other websites, and a very good value for a single traverler.

Good location to everything in a quiet deadend street on a small canal. I would highly recommend this hotel and stay there again without any hesitation.

The canal leading to the hotel was closed due to repairs so our water taxi was not able to go direct to the hotel. This was completely unforeseen and not caused by the hotel. It was very easy to find the hotel.
The receptionist realized that when we arrived that the room was a double plus twin, and felt we might be more comfortable with three twins. She was proactive and went out of her way to change the room while we were out so as not to disturb us. Incredible service.

The staff was very accommodating, making reservations for dinner and proactively checking to ensure the restaurants were good. They also arranged a free water taxi to Murano, provided waterbus information so we would not be lost, and proactively arranged our taxi to the airport. Great service!

Excellent service -- The water taxi was not able to come directly to the hotel (again, unforeseen situation -- not the fault of the hotel) but the front desk staff personally took us to meet the taxi.

Hotel Ca' D'Oro is nestled in a quiet neighborhood for privacy but convenient to restaurants, shops and the Rialto Bridge. The room is nicely appointed and spacious by Venice standards. The staff is friendly and pleasant, and eager to meet your every need, including arranging your dinner reservations, local tours and taxis. You will not be disappointed with their service.

Great location, loved the room and decor. You MUST make use of the roof top garden, where we had the best meal of our trip (even if it came from the local market and we drank wine out cups!) This was our favourite hotel during our month long trip of Engalnd, France and Italy. We would not hesitate to stay there again

I was pleasantly surprised when I arrived althought my room was quite small, it was lovely, and the bathroom which lets most hotels down, was immaculate and nicely presented. Good b'fast( for Italy) the lady that was in the b'fast room each morning was happy and cheerful. The location was excellent. I have been to venice 4 times now, and this has been the best accommodation. I will definately stay there next time. My only criticism is the lifts. They are extremely slow. On occasions I had to wait well over 5 mins. Also I was forced to pay by Visa, even though they accepted my Amex card as a g'tee. I got some story about that particular week their lines were not connecting to Amex, which I didn't believe, that is just a way around not paying their commission to amex. If they don't want you to pay by amex, then don't state that they accept that particular card, and also should have been advised on check in.

Clean lovely presented small boutique hotel. Excellent location, 15 mins walk frpm St/Lucia Railway station. 5 mins walk to Rialto bridge and 10 mins to San Marco square. Close proximity to good value for money restuarants, cafes. One of the cleanest bathrooms I have experienced. Small but lovely tiles, beautiful fabric covered the walls that matched the bedspread. Nice buffet breakfast and happy staff.

The breakfast was disappointing. To add a selection of cold meats and fruit would not cost the hotel much more but would make a big difference to the enjoyment of the breakfast.

A small and friendly hotel. Breakfast disappointing but rooms and hotel staff pleasant. Nestled in peaceful location, only a short walk to the main tourist spots but far enough away from the bustle.

I asked for a room with a view, which we did not have. I was told that would be an upgrade, and I agreed to pay the upgraded amount without looking at the room. That was my fault. The room with the view was really nothing, and the room we originally had was fine. We paid extra for nothing, but this was not the fault of the hotel.

Wonderful, comfortable rooms, great location, a little hard to find. The breakfast was rather poor and needs to be upgraded.
