It muight be worth noting that it's location . close to Arsenale vaporetto stop is an advantage when approaching Venice on the water bus from the airport, as this is the first stop in Venice and much easier to negotiate, with luggage, than the overcrowded San Marco stop. It's also much quieter and more spacious at this end of the island
...
I would recommend Ca Formenta to any friends looking for a comfortable, clean, inexpensive hotel in Venice. I'll certainly revisit.

Very comfortable and reasonably priced hotel in a good position. Convenient for Water buses and good views from the front of the hotel. Helpful and cheerful staff and the hotel was spotlessly clean

Ca'Formenta is a very nice hotel in a residential area, away from the crowds of tourists, yet close enough to walk to the sights and the vaporetto stops. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was bright and cheerful with a beautiful view of San Giorgio island.

taxis in venice are very expensive. it is worth noting in the directions that the Arsenale vaperetto stop is only 2 bridges, 5 minutes, from the hotel-- for those travellers with baggage

the hotel arranges side trips for its guests at no cost-- a trip to the casino, a private taxi ride and mini tour of glass blowing on murano-- with no obligation to buy glass.

Rooms smaller than expected, especially the bathroom. Breakfast is not woth getting out of bed for and is taken in the reception.
