The hotel was wonderful - clean, bright, and modern. It was tucked away in a small side street, but once we had found it, it was very easy to go from there to St. Mark's Square and the vaporetto stops. The staff were all very friendly, the breakfasts were delicious! We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone - although it is listed as a B&B, the quality was as good, if not better, than many 3-star hotels we have stayed in.

The receptionist was charming and most welcoming to us. We felt as though we had arrived at a friend's home.

Ca' Furlan is probably the most beautiful B & B we have ever stayed at. It's impeccably clean, professionally run and much more beautiful than many 4 star hotels we have stayed in.
...
Ca' Furlan overlooks a very pretty and quiet canal. I do not think it was mentioned on the web site. It is also nicer than most 4 star hotels.
...
I would describe Ca' Furlan as Venice's best kept secret! Please do not share this information with any guide books!

Room is very nicely decorated with golden theme. It is very quite at night and breakfast is great. Fantastic, friendly staff!
...
A fairly new bed & breakfast with immaculate service, well decorated rooms and great spotless marble bathroom. It's close to all the Venice's attractions and great local restaurants are nearby. I highly recommend Ca' Furlan.

We did need another map to help us find the property as the map supplied on the web page didn't name all the streets we needed to follow.
...
The reception staff were not overly friendly but were very efficient. We were very pleased with our accomodation as it was spacious and spotlessly clean. The location of the property was also ideal as it was close enough to the centre of Venice without being overrun.
...
We felt that the price of the room was most appropriate for the quality of the accomodation.
...
Only a small thing, the property does not display any sign other than on the small doorbell to indicate that it is where it is. It was only that I recognised the reception area from a photograph that I knew it was the B & B.
...
Spacious rooms with an excellent standard of decor and cleanliness, which made our stay very comfortable. In a great location; just off the main drag for tourists so we felt more connected with the real Venice.

Very nice place. The room was very comfortable, and it was close to San Marco, but not too close (good to avoid the crowds). Very nice staff, and great to have AC.

The website states that payment can be made by credit card however this is not the case, I think you should warn people in advance that only cash or travellers cheques are accepted at check out

I would not hesitate to recommend this property, I thought the bedroom was wonderful, very traditional, clean and with everything you could want. The service was good and friendly and the location although slightly confusing to find was ideal.

There was one wrong turn in the directions provided and it is memorable because it was pouring rain, so even more difficult to figure it out.
...
Checkout hours were limited; couldn't check out before 9, which was difficult for at least one person. Staff people were not around much, but that was not a problem for us. The women serving breakfast were very nice.
...
Our room was on the canal side and we had a lovely view looking right out onto a canal which was nice. The room was beautiful and everything was clean. It was very quiet while we were there.

Missing from services listed were boat tour to Murano and city map (we didn't ask about why).
...
We were thinking about that slippers would have been lovely on the cold marble floors!
...
Small and quiet but very clean and tasteful, excellent location, nice nd helpful staff.

Don't read anything negative into the fact I answered 'no' to the 'welcome/check-in question'. We knew that check in isn't until 4pm and we arrived early (our friends had arranged for an even earlier check-in and had our key for us and let us in.)

Even with the directions provided, we got lost trying to find the B&B. It should be noted that one way to make sure you're following the hotel directions correctly: you should NEVER have to walk over a canal bridge that has steps. In fact you bear around to the right of a building just before a set of these steps (we missed that part...) :)

I was VERY pleased with the size and cleanliness of the room and bathroom (though I could never figure out where the fan was in the bathroom!). The staff was incredibly friendly and the woman who helps out at breakfast (and takes care of checkout) doesn't speak much English but makes up for it in enthusiasm. It was not an issue but I couldn't get a wireless connection in the room and couldn't figure out where to get an ethernet connection from anywhere else. Other then from 4-7pm, the owners don't seem to be around and the woman who helps with breakfast and check-out didn't seem to the be the type to ask about computers.

All first time travelers to Venice and taking the water taxi/bus from the airport, should make sure you tell them when you get ON the water taxi/bus that you're going to the ARSENAL stop. If you just hop on, they'll assume you're going all the way to the San Marco stop and your luggage gets buried in with the rest. It's not a long walk back, but it is annoying.

Even with the directions provided, we got lost trying to find the B&B but once we figured it out, realized we were in a great residential location. One way to make sure you're following the hotel directions correctly: you should NEVER have to walk over a canal bridge that has steps. In fact you bear around to the right of a building just before a set of these steps (we missed that part...) :)

The room was very good but the breakfast was very bad. Stale rolls, terrible coffee, juice made from powder! In Italy you expect a good standard of food wherever you go - this was not worth 144 euros!!
...
I would not recommend because of the breakfast

The direction given would not have led us to the place. Good thing we had a detail map of Venice to follow.
...
The lady serving us breadfast daily does not speak English making any communication impossible during our four day stay. She didn't seem to be happy with her job. The owner who speaks English was only there at check-in and check-out. He was helpful in arranging a water taxi for us.
The place is clean but the breakfast was boring with the same rolls and creals everyday.
...
OK place. I don't think I'll be back.
