Facilities within the Property

Tastefully restored, the apartment immediately presents itself for what it really is: an ideal welling for two people planning a romantic stay in the historical centre of Venice, but at the same time, sheltered from the city's peak hour confusion, and the coming and going of tourists homing in on the most popular landmarks.

Nearby Facilities

The apartment Il Caminetto is located very near of the typical Venetian restaurant and bar (Bacari), the famous names are Ristorante-Caffeè Quadri, Ristorante Pizzeria Al Chianti, Ristorante Ai Do Forni, Ristorante Noemi. The Swimming pool is located 15 minutes by waterbus ( to Sacca Fisola Island ) or 20 minutes walking to S.Alvise. In the famous campo of Venice San Filippo e Giacomo there are many super/mini market.
The apartment Il Caminetto is located only 5 minutes walking from the famous San Marco Square, with its Basilica ( it's certainly the symbol of Venice, with more than two square kilometres of beautiful mosaics,
it contains inestimable treasures as the Pala d'Oro, masterpiece of Gothic-Byzantine goldsmith's art, precious glasses, amphoras, cups and the liturgical vestments. Recently it's been done the restoration of the marvellous multicoloured marbles inside the church ) and Palazzo Ducale (marvellous example of Gothic architecture), it was built with the materials imported from the colonies of the Venetian Republic but during the Renaissance the building had been changed with the construction of the impressing Giants' Stair, made by Antonio Rizzo or with the Lombardo's decorations. It resumes one thousand years of history in fact it was the center of the executive and legal power as the Sala del Maggior Consiglio, Sala del Senato and the Sala del Collegio testify. It's possible to admire precious paintings by Tintoretto, Tiziano and Veronese and take a tour of the ancient prisons where Casanova lived for some years before escaping (it says he drank a cup of coffè at Floriàn Caffè before leaving Venice), the Piazzetta dei Leoni and the Torre dell'Orologio, the Procuratie Vecchie and Nuove, the Campanile and the Museo Correr. A gondola ride is the most romantic and "Venetian" way to appreciate the city's artistic splendour and immense historical heritage.
