Lovely room
...
Positive: The street is very quiet - only sound is the occational singing and shouting of the gondolieres when they go down the canal just at the end of the street.
The restaurant just opposite the hotel is great!
A basket of chocolates in the room at our arrival was a very nice surprise.
...
Typical venetian, extremely friendly and helpful staff, very nice bathroom too, beautifully decorated (we had room 101), quiet yet centrally located 5 min from St. Marcus square, perfect for a romantic weekend stay.
Actually I cannot find anything negative to say about this place, ...maybe the price, which second thoughts, I guess is reasonable for a central hotel of this quality in Venice.

The adress should be given with the correct street, i.e. 'R.d. Assassinatori' and a short description how to reach from a prominent point (like Teatro Fenice).

The breakfast with all the cellophane-packed stuff was extremely terrible! Disgusting taste, nothing fresh, lots of unnecessary garbage! Just a simple but fresh croissant with a freshly brewed coffee would have been 100% better (with lesser cost!).
...
Beautiful place to stay, very friendly, very quiet, in very good style, but bring your own food for breakfast!!!

It was usually very quiet, but the doors are thin, and you can sometimes hear people talking in the lobby. You can open the windows to be seranaded by passing gondolas (canal at end of the street), or close them for a peaceful afternoon nap.
...
The staff was wonderful, and left a breakfast tray prepared for us even though we left very early, before the regular breakfast time. The only problem was that we were prepared to pay with our credit card, and did not find out until after our arrival that they strongly prefer cash or travellers checks (as do all merchants in Venice, it turns out). We spent part of a day trying to find a place to give us a cash advance on our credit card (banks do not do this, go to the American Express office) and ended up paying a significant commission.
...
You have to go up a flight of steps to get to the lobby and rooms. This is ok with me, but those with disabilities should be aware.
...
The perfect place to stay in Venice. Small, private, great service and very friendly staff. Very clean. Romantic. Central location but away from the crowds. The staff made us feel welcome, and gave special attention to make our honeymoon wonderful.

From the outside this hotel looked a little creepy because the block it is on is a dead end and the sign wasn't huge like we are used to in America. But the inside was clean and our stay was wonderful. Also being located on a dead end street was wonderful because at night there was no noise.
...
Staff allowed us to keep bags in room for an hour after check out time to get some last minute shopping done. We were very grateful.
...
A beautiful quaint hotel. Our room had a lovely view of the local cafes and a canal that was frequented by gondolas with singing gondaliers. Staff was freindly and went out of their way to make your stay comfortable while giving you privacy. I would definetly stay here if I visited Venice again.

Staff were very helpful. I left my luggage at the hotel and they gave me a key so I could retrieve it even if they were not at the desk when I returned.
...
I believe they provide a free ride to Murano Island by private taxi-boat with stays of at least two nights, but not usually for a stay of just one night. (This was not clear on the webpage.)
...
I would recommend it. The rooms were very nicely decorated. The bathroom seemed almost brand new. The location was excellent. For Venice the price was fair.

I had a nice chat with voffee and biscuits while waiting for the room to be ready.
...
Most romantic: The room 'Cupido' is best suited for a loving couple because of its cosy smallness. An additional surprise was the beautiful view at he opposite facade and the sound of singing gondolieres from the nearby canal.

Having been unfamiliar with Venice, I did not know how to find the addresses. The address listing in the webpage and voucher did not specify how to arrive at the hotel, only which locations to get off the vaporetto. The hotel is not located behind the Fenice Theater, but rather several winding blocks from the theater. The San Angelo stop is the best way to arrive at the hotel with the shortest travel, and less confusing. Perhaps, putting a location map or directions from San Angelo stop would be most helpful in finding the hotel.

The place is fabulous and I would recommend it to anyone staying in Venice. The staff is very nice, polite, talkative, and generous with recommendations. It is the best stay for the price in Venice, and probably better than most of the other places listed on other websites.
...
Very affordable for Venice, and the accomodations were second to none.
...
Please provide better and detailed directions on how to arrive at the hotel.
...
Old world charm. Truly a Venitian experience, with all the modern accomodations and necesities. I would recommend it to anyone going to Venice

Very welcoming and friendly. The owner remembered small details about my last stay, so making me feel special. My friend who had not stayed there before was very impressed with the friendly welcome she received.
...
We were delighted by the atmosphere and ambience of the establishment. My friend was charmed by the care they had taken to decorate each room in an individual manner.
...
It went absolutely seamlessly, and we were encouraged to leave our bags in the foyer after vacating our rooms.
...
Delightful. Friendly, unobtrusive attention. Lovely location, very central and convenient. Very comfortable rooms, full of character.

Mattresses in 'Theater' room might use some renovation or might even be replaced by newer ones. And it would be great, if there was some sort of shelf for soap etc. inside the shower cabin.
...
This B&B is located perfectly - within 5 minite walking distance from Rialto bridge, Academia Bridge, San Marco square.
...
It was a great and comfortable place to stay in Venice.
