Very polite!! And the receptionist kindly pointed out the whereabout of nearest supermarket. Very helpful. ... Very clean and nicely layouted rooms. Looks like it's been revamped recently. ... It's in a small and dark alley flanked by two busiest streets of San Marco area. Look for the house number instead of the depending totally on the map. ... Highly recommended!! Will definitely stay there again next time I go to Venezia.

The owner waited up until 3am as our flight was delayed. He also came to collect us which helped very much! ... Very convenient location, friendly staff clean

you should include a detailed map with directions to Casa Cosmo due to specific topography of Venezia :) ... very nice, historic centre, extremely friendly and polite staff, +++++

Even as the directions were correct, it was somewhat difficult to understand where the actual street was. ... The staff was really very friendly. ... Cosy, nice, friendly. Good shower and air conditioning!

Casa Cosmo is a very nice family-run hotel in the heart of the San Marco area of Venice. The rooms were newly refurbished and clean, and our top-floor room was directly next to the roof terrace. There is also a small canal with gondoliers within a few steps of the hotel door, and you are in easy walking distance of Piazza San Marco and the Rialto Bridge. On the morning of our departure there was a train strike and the owners were extremely helpful in trying to find us alternative travel plans. Another great feature of this hotel is that it is right next to the best restaurant I have eaten at in Italy, Al Gazzellino Trattoria, which specializes in fish and has a great chef, Radu Sarmas, who is also extremely entertaining. I would certainly go back to the Casa Cosmo the next time I am in Venice. ... Although they do not serve breakfast, they do make a great cup of cappucino or mocha in the morning. ... Relatively inexpensive hotel based on the high cost of Venice, but very high quality rooms and service.

The directions were incorrect. It stated to get off the Alilaguna at the S Zacharria stop, but it was not walking distance from there. ... A small but very friendly establishment with spacious, clean rooms. Very good value for money.

It was great! We arrived very late in the evening to check in and someone was there to greet us when we arrived. The check in process was quick and she immediately showed us to our room where we fell asleep in comfort after our exhausting travel day. ... We loved staying at Casa Cosmo! The location was great and the room was huge! They brought breakfast to our room every morning at our requested time. It was wonderful! We would recommend Casa Cosmo to all who are heading to Venice! ... Very quick and easy. And, they were very helpful in pointing us in the right direction to make our way to our next stop in Italy. ... Please include how large the rooms are. We only saw our room, but I suspect they are all larger than one would expect. ... Warm, friendly, helpful and a great place to stay inexpensively in Venice.

We stayed on the top floor so had use of a little balcony for our breakfast every morning. There wasn't a view but it was still nice to be outside.
The rooms are just as shown on the website - we stayed in a double room and it really was as spacious as shown on the website. ... There is a little sign saying that they prefer cash. We paid via credit card and they were perfectly fine with that. They didn't make us feel uncomfortable about it. ... It is very very close to Rialto bridge and the Rialto stop. This is a big plus when you arrive in a new city with too much luggage (as we did!) and with sooo many people wandering about.
Prior to arriving in Venice we stayed at a place in Paris which room did not at all resemble the pictures shown on their website. So we were pleasantly surprised by Casa Cosmo! ... Very good value especially for Venice... the room was spacious and the room and bathroom absolutely spotless. Good water pressure in the shower which was important to us. It also had a reverse cycle air-conditioning which was really good after arriving back in from the cold.

We loved the hotel and would stay there again. The only suggestion that we have is that a larger sign for the hotel is needed because it was not easy to find -- especially after dark. ... We loved it. ... A lovely lodge. Large, clean rooms. Friendly staff. Great location.

The staff at Casa Como were excelent, they even came to the Vaparetto to meet us and bring us to the guest house. It is also in a fantastic location ideally placed between the Rialto Bridge and St Marks Square - I would recommend this guest house to anybody I know who is going to Venice and I would stay there again myself.

Good location, because the boat stop is very close to B&B. This important because moving luggage around in Venice streets is not easy.

Very well located inbetween Rialto and San Marco.A little difficult to find it took us 3 tries and we were just around the corner. I don't know if that is just because Venice is so confusing anyway. ... A good value hotel, clean and well located. Friendly staff.

We did not use your directions.. they would not have worked..not for us anyway.Casa Cosmo contacted us and told us if we called when we arrived, they would come get us.We did.. they did .. and all was well. ... Room was spotless and very comfortable. Looks exactly like the pictures.. if anything the pictures do not give the rooms justice. ... fast and courteous. Credit card was accepted. ... Better directions. This site is not easy to find if you don't know or understand Venice. Once you get a feel for the city..it becomes easy. Instead of using street names.. use the store/shop names.. The site is right around the corner from Bata Shoes.. I would include this in your directions. Also.. it is down a narrow and deserted alley..there are no shops on this particular alley .. there are also no tourists.. so it is a tad intimidating. We would not have gone down the alley if we weren't following someone..we would have thought we made a wrong turn.. BUT.. once you understand that all the alleys look the same.. they are no longer scary.. they are unique, interesting and lots of fun ... Clean, safe, newly renovated, quiet and comfortable. Very easy to get to once you know where it is. Close to the major sites, shops and restaurants. Family run business.. very friendly and helpful. I would recommend the site ad would be happy to stay there again.

My mother, sister and I spent 3 nights at this central, family run hotel. The owners were fantastically friendly and helpful. The room was spotless and beautifully decorated. You could not ask for a better location or more confortable room in Venice. Great value also!

The location is convenient, as described, however there are no views from the windows and the rooms are very small. ... Clean, but very spartan.

My only critical comment is in regard to the directions to the hotel - they simply were not consistent with reality. It was actually quite simple but the instructions were way off base.
Other than that, everything was just fine.

8. Although the room was very clean, it was not spacious, nor was it particularly quite. We had to keep the windows closed inorder to avoid the quiet from the calle. Also, we could hear people talking in the hallway, on the phone in the lobby, and at the front desk. ... Convenient, modest, friendly accommodations for the budget minded.
