Welcomed like an old friend. Very nice. ... The property had nice comments from others, and it exceeded all good comments. ... The hotel staff made my stay in Venice perfect. ... A well managed and maintained family run hotel, who treats their guest with the highest respect.Very high level of pride of ownership and service.

Armand dont quite know how to spell the young mans name, was great we liked out cups of tea and he was always ready to make them for us. (there were plenty) Nothing was to much touble for him. ... Need to mention the stairs, all hotels in Venice have stairs thats the beauty of the old buildings, i think it should be stated. The staff are very helpful so carrying the suitcases up wasnt't so bad. ... Gorgeous.

Staff were most welcoming and provided coffee and croissants (that we were not charged for) Our room was not ready, but that was not a problem as we left our bags and returned later. ... The hotel was excellent and I would certainly recommend it. The location was great and the room was spacious and comfortable. The service was very good and we really enjoyed our stay. ... Staff were accommodating about leaving our luggage in the hotel after we had checked out,to be collected later in the day. ... A charming small hotel, beautifully decorated, very clean and comfortable. Excellent location, and friendly staff.

The staff, the place and location was excellent. We enjoyed our stay very much. Only minuses were a few bugs we had in your room (which we handled ourselves), a pretty basic breakfast and the fact that the only restaurant where we got ripped off in Venice was the one that Casa Martini recommended and booked for us. Just find your own restaurants (all others we found we really great) and you'll be more than satisfied with you stay at Casa Martini. Thank you for warn and friendly service!

Directions on the web site we not exactly correct. We had to telephone them once over the bridge because we could not find them. Maybe they can improve their directions. ... We had a wonderful stay in a great location relative to the sites of Venice. Accomodations were as expected. Breakfast was very nice. Service was great.

We were welcomed the moment we arrived and made to feel at home for the whole time. ... I thoroughly enjoyed Venice and staying at this hotel was part of the experience. It is a lovely friendly house and was exactly how I imagined Venician rooms would be decorated. ... I was recommended the hotel by a friend and would recommend it to anyone visiting Venice.

We greatly enjoyed our stay at the Locanda Casa Martini. The staff were very helpful and accommodating. We had a lovely clean room which had been recently renovated. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Venice. The continental breakfast was very good and more than enough to survive the morning on. ... They allowed us to leave our luggage there even after we had checked out! ... We had a bit of difficulty finding the hotel but this I think was our fault because I forgot to take the instructions for getting there. ... I would describe this as a lovely quiet place that was charming and relaxing and quite central to everything we wanted to do. I would recommend taking a vaporetto to the hotel. We decided to walk from the Pizzale Roma and were quite pooped by the time we got there.

Unfortunately there were mosquitos if we had the windows open. But if we closed the windows it became too hot as the air-conditioning had been turned off for the season ... Central, comfortable and friendly. But lacking details about room service and a bar

I was greeted by a happy and lovely woman who immediately was very positive and helpful. She was playing some Andrea Bocelli music in the living room, with the windows open and the atmosphere was wonderfully relaxed. I asked her a lot of questions about the area and whether she knew of a very good place to have lunch in the sun. Immediately she made a call to a fantastic place next to the Rialto fish market and it couldn't have been better. Perfect arrival at a perfect locanda! ... Absolutely great. Loved it from start to finish, wish I'd stayed longer. The area where it is located is also the best in Venice ... Adviced me to take the bus to the airport instead of the ferry services or boat taxi, which was a very good and simple recomendation. ... That it has a feeling of being a guest in someone's personal house as opposed to having a room in a hotel. Very homely and personal feeling ... Great location, tucked away in the old original part of Venice. What instantly strikes you is the lovely atmosphere, music being played in the background and the wonderful reception. Feels as if you are lending a room in someone's house as opposed to renting a room in a hotel. You walk through the kitchen to have breakfast on the terrace in the morning, which is unusual but gives a very genuine feeling. I would tell my friends that the have to stay at least 1 night at Locanda Casa Martini if they are in Venice.

As it was our first visit to Italy, we were confused about how to get the proper water taxi to our hotel. I asked but was given incorrect information at the airport taxi booth. Maybe directions with the proper taxi exit could be helpful. ... It is a little difficult to find the hotel entrance as it is located in an alley. We needed to ask but everyone was very helpful. Also, you need to be prepared to climb many steps - a bit difficult with heavy luggage after a long journey. ... A very lovely old building with a view of the Grand Canal, easy walks to good restaurants and shopping and taxi stand. The staff are very helpful and pleasant.

The Guglie vaporetto stop one gets off at is mobile and can be located on either side of the Canale di Cannaregio. Directions need to clearly state that. They also should indicate the proximity of the Guglie Bridge and that you may or may not cross it depending where the stop is. Note that the stop was on the far side of the canal when we arrived and the near side when we left. The inn is located in the first alley on the left, on the right side of the bridge (your back to the Grand Canale). ... The inn is in a quiet neighborhood with access to good restaurants, markets and anything else one might need. We very much enjoyed the decks. The sitting room used for breakfast on rainy mornings was right outside our door. Unfortunately that precluded sleeping in late on those mornings.

The Locanda is very pleasant but a bit overpriced. In fact the second room of our apartment was tiny and hardly had any place for our things. We were 4 adults, not a couple with children and the whole arrangement, though quite nice looking was a bit small. The common rooms and terraces are indeed a bonus, especially in good weather (and for smokers, as obviously you are not allowed to smoke inside). ... Tastefully furnished, very nice terraces, quiet though with a bell tower nearby, tiny breakfast tables, good but essential breakfast, a lot of stairs, on the expensive side of the range.

The rooms were a little small but I understand this is normal in Venice. A down side was our room was straight off the lounge/breakfast area. So when you walked out of your room in the morning everybody could see you straight or hear you in the mornings whilst they were breakfasting. ... Two of the rooms are straight off the lounge/breakfast area feeling like you have less privacy. ... It is a nice, friendly hotel in a good location but I would recommend to ask for a room NOT adjacent to the lounge/breakfast area. Rooms are not large but clean & pleasant. Price wise it is not a bargain but I understand accomodation is expensifve in venice.

I would prefer a bigger choice at breakfast considering the price of the room, and also staff should have been more keen to help out taking our bags up two flights of stairs. ... Again, I think the staff should have volunteered to take my bag down for me. ... Slightly overpriced but lovely location and nice rooms.

The breakfast should have more fresh rolls/bread. ... Nice and recommendable. Favourable location close to the 'vaporetto' landing point.

there was building at the site, which was a little noisy and made access a bit tricky, but not too hard ... whilst people at casa martini where very nice, the property is in a noisy area and the room was very small and very dimly lit. i expected the accomodation to be more comfortable from the images i saw on the website.
