This was our second stay at Locanda Casa Querini and we certainly would stay there again on any future visit to Venice. The accomodations are pleasant and comfortable and the staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful. We had problems with our airline connection to Venice and our friends arrived earlier, a bit concerned over our failure to arrive. The hotel staff immediately contacted the airline and helped our friends put their concerns aside. ... A comfortable hotel, run by a very friendly and helpful staff, away from the bustle of Venice but convenient to the heart of the city. I strongly recommend the hotel for its comfort and value.

We arrived in Venice at night and we found this Hotel was very easy to find from the Ferry with directions given. All the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. ... We loved this hotel. We had to change rooms because we arrived two days early but we got to experience the different rooms. They were typically venetian style, clean and just a pleasure to stay in. The hotel was close to everything especially San Marco square. ... Easy and quick. ... This is a gorgeous family run hotel, very quaint and just what I would expect from a Venetian style hotel. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Central location close to San Marco Square. When we visit Venice next time we will definately be looking up Locanda Casa Querini.

Venice (streets) are very challenging for a first time visitor, the Web site reviews from from previous vistors helped us find the Hotel. Excellent rooms, staff very helpful, language not a problem. ... Tiny breakfast room but staff very efficient. ... Clearer directions on how the address and how to get there from the nearest vaporetto stop. A small map would be good. ... Charming and well located. Very Venician.

If you are not in a hurry it is nice to approach Venice from Piazza Roma by travelling down the Grand Canal but it does take longer than you might expect. ... My husband and two friends had stayed in Casa Querini previously. This time we took our elder daughter and my sister. Both were very pleased with the hotel we chose and we were equally satisfied. When my sister visits England from Australia (2006?) I shall be taking her to this hotel. ... No problems. The staff were helpful and we were able to leave our luggage at the hotel until our departure time. ... On both occasions, we stayed in the main hotel building - - on this second occasion, it was by special request. This was not the case with a relative who was housed in the annexe on her visit and found the steep stairs very difficult. Potential clients need to know about this unless the situation has changed since my relative's visit. ... Casa Querini is a quiet, attractive, clean and friendly little hotel. Its location is ideal for visiting the main tourist sites. We had already recommended a relative and a friend. Both were pleased with the location, cleanliness and helpful staff but the relative was not happy about the steep stairs in the annexe. The friends stayed in the main building.

Locanda Casa Querini gave us the warmest welcome that we had in Italy. We were met by a most gracious host who helped us carry our heavy luggage. She was very cheery too! ... We felt most at home there. ... I would recommend it as one of the best places that I've stayed in Italy. It was mostly due to the very kind and welcoming staff members and the homey atmosphere.

The people at the desk were extremely friendly and helpful. ... We had to get up and leave extremely early in order to catch a water ferry to the airport (3:30 am). The hotel had prepared little breakfast bags for us! That was so thoughtful. We considered it above and beyond. We would stay there again and recommend it to family and friends. ... I would include directions to get there from the Venice train station. We walked all over Venice trying to find hotel. We weren't sure where to exit the water ferry. Because the streets open up to squares it got very confusing. Very specific directions would have been super helpful. ... private, reasonably priced, clean, very friendly and helpful staff!

We had a really pleasant stay at the Casa Querini. ... It is a small charming place right in the middle of Venice, within 5 mins distance to the Piazza San Marco, yet quiet and calm. If you want to discover the heart of Venice, this place is perfect to start from.

We were very pleased with our stay and would definitely recommend it to others. The location is great and the staff very friendly and helpful. Our only complaint was that there was no heat in the room, it being May - and we were a little cold, having got wet in the Aqua Alta. Apart from that - we were very satisfied. ... Just that some rooms are in an annex. We had not expected that - but it was only 2 doors away and was fine. Guests should also be aware that there are stairs to climb. ... Very convenient to the centre of the city - we were able to walk to most places we wanted to see - and the staff were helpful about informatin re the vaporetti. Comnfortable room, good bathrooms, nice breakfast.

I think it is quite a lot of money for such a small room but it's Venice I suppose... ... I would have prefered not to have the breakfast included in the price as I think italians are not very good at making it. ... a very quiet area facing a church with nice people managing, a small room very clean, but facing a wall...probably a fair price for Venice?

Extremely difficult to find. Staff was not helpful. Wandered for 2 hours. Ruined our experience in Venice. The staff did not tell us that there was a marathon taking place in Venice and that the normal water taxi stop was closed. ... Flying bugs in the room, kept us awake all night. We all had bug bites upon awakening. ... No ... That it is impossible to find. Stay closer to the water or in a more easily accessible area.

we reported a faulty pop up waste in room 20 but this message did not appear to be passed on or dealt with properly. ... We were promised an early breakfast on departure date, but the man in charge did not seem to know anything about us, therefore we had to make do with what was on aside table. No table, hot drinks or croisant!

Close proximity to Piazza San Marco and yet blissfully quiet area ... The hotel fitted our needs exactly and I would have been pleased to stay longer if time had allowed. If there was anything which comes to mind it would be the breakfast. While it was adequate it was not very imaginative. However I would recommend the hotel for location and the pleasant staff. The 2nd room we occupied was lovely with a view on to the campo. I would ask about availablity of accommodation if we were coming for another short stay.

Unfortunately I was unable to print out the detailed map on the website so did not have clear directions with me on arrival. The map I purchased in Venice did not have the name of the square printed on it, and the street sign in the street leading to the square was different from the one on the map. Hence the confusion. It took me a long while to find the hotel. However, this just adds to the fun of travelling and is not in any way a complaint about the information provided on the website. I was very glad of the assistance provided by the website in organising my accommodation and found it very easy to use for this purpose. I would definitely use it again. ... Only the confusion about finding it. ... Great location near San Marco. Small but well appointed room. Beautiful bathroom.
