Hotels in central Venice seem difficult to get to (due to the layout of Venice itself) but the directions we were given proved to be fine, although as I said, it's a pretty crazy place to find your way around first of all! ... A clean and well run hotel, the staff were all helpful and it was a pleasure to stay there. ... The woman on the desk helped us check out the night before as we had an early flight, so avoiding a panic in the morning! ... The location is marvellous. ... Small but clean and quite. Modern facilities (bathrooms etc.) were great. The only minor factor was the need to leave the hotel and walk around two alleyways to get to the hotel where breakfast was supplied.

A charming, clean, small Hotel that does not look very good from the outside but is very good inside.

My stay at Antica Casa Coppo was great! I was looking for simple, small, clean accomodations in the heart of Venice and that is exactly what I found. I would not hesitate to recommend this place to family and friends. ... WorldBy.com was one of the best expereinces I have had on the web looking for accomodations. It helped me sort through the hundreds of choices to arrive at the best one for my needs (proximity and price). I will (and have!) recommended this site to others. ... Small, quaint, lovely, very Venetian!

WE HAD 10 PEOPLE IN OUR FAMILY PARTY AND ALL WERE VERY HAPPY. THE LOCATION IS IDEAL FOR WALKING IN VENICE....A VERY BEAUTIFUL CITY WITH BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE TO MATCH. ... WISH WE COULD HAVE STAYED LONGER ... WE GOT ALL THE HOPE WE NEEDED ... NOTHNG TO ADD....IT WAS AS EXPECTED AND WAS SATIFACTORY. ... GO DO IT

It seemed that the instructions for the final turning were missing in the directions from the Rialto - we found the hotal eventually! The receptionist was very welcoming. We have made a change which this receptionist was unaware of - but once checked, it was ok. I did panic a bit though to think we may be one bed short. ... We found the whole stay to be very pleasant, comfortable and enjoyable. ... We left our cases at the hotel after checking out of the room so that we could continue to enjoy the rest of the day until our flight. They were happy to do this. ... The arrangements that were made with the nearby hotel for the excellent breakfast were not clear enough on the website. ... Extremely clean and comfortable, rooms and bathrooms recently decorated to a high standard, friendly staff and very conveniently placed for sightseeing. I have already recommended this hotel to friends and hope to return myself.

A qualified 'YES' to the last question. Whilst the hotel was lovely, the staff polite, friendly and thoroughly accommodating, I can't say that we considered our room 'deluxe' - nice, clean, well decorated but deluxe?... not really - especially when considering that a similar room rate got me a huge room with balcony and sea front view in a five star hotel in Nice recently. That said, it's Venice, so I guess it's to be expected! Final analysis? Good place but could do with a slight reality check when it comes to describing the rooms! ... Worse in the sense that it didn't quite live up to its proud boasts! Certainly wouldn't say it's a bad hotel, simply that it rather overstates the proportions and quality of its rooms on the website. That aside, good, friendly service and whoever decided to 'outsource' the catering to a nearby restaurant is a genius - great breakfasts, with cheerful, attentive and very capable staff - so much so we went back there to eat on our last night and enjoyed a very memorable evening. ... Hard to answer - was it great value for money? Defintely not. Do I feel ripped off and did it spoil our stay? Absolutely not - we just weren't 'bowled-over' with the accommodation... ... Clearly, one is paying for the Coppo's proximity to St Marks Square & the Bavolo, rather than the opulence of its rooms, the views out of your window, etc. That said, it is damned close, so I suppose I have nothing to grumble about!

We found the Antica Casa Coppo very good, well run, clean and very central to visiting Venice. Good value for rental cost and very helpful staff. We would be happy to book it again
