Main area was ok but the rooms in the new part did not reflect the hotel image they were well used ... Laggon view was noise until late ... Rigght in the heart of the husttle and bustle wuold prefer the Lido area to stay and travel into st MARCS SQ

Made very welcome by all staff. ... The restaurant was a bit plain but I am sure if one could dine on the terrace then it would have been splendid. Too cold in March! ... Good value under the circumstances - special occation as I proposed to my partner in the Danieli Bar. ... No ... An ideal venue for that special occation when you want to spoil yourselves.

The staff were absolutely fantastic. It was my husband's 40th Birthday and they even gave us a complimentary bottle of champagne and a box of chocolates in our room! ... No ... Very luxurious, with terrific atmosphere and friendly staff who are always around if you need them but not 'hovering'. Hotel's location 2nd to none in Venice.

No advice on transfers to hotel from airport were given. No advice that water taxis were on strike and no alternative method of transport was suggested. This would have been exteremely helpful at the time as flight was also delayed from 12:30hrs to 19:00hrs so it was dark on arrival. ... transfer details to/from airport ( and others?) ... expensive but a good experience with good srevice generally

The first night we were put into the room below the restaurant kitchen and received no sleep. They did move us the next day but the first night was not worth any money, much less what we paid. It was noisy for most of the afternoon and evening. The second room was nice. ... I would describe it as less than a five star, more like a four star hotel and less than I expected. We thought it was nice but not outstanding and probably would not stay there again.

Guests travel by commercial boat to the hotel. At the $500+ level for rooms, hotel could handle this far better than they do ... which was in my view indifference. I'd rate customer service as very poor, which is unacceptable for an expensive, upscale hotel. ... Stay was fine ... staff was about as helpful as a McDonald's in the Bronx. ... I'd say that the property description was fine. There are simply better values and better places to stay in Venice. ... I'd say ... avoid it. Staff acts like an entitled workforce, indifferent to to comfort and convenience of guests.
