it was easy enough to get from the airport to the bus depot in Venice (which is next to the rail station), however it was totally confusing to get to the hotel. We had asked for directions from the hotel but they never sent any..Anyway, the easy way is to get to the Rialto bridge and head north. Its a good 30 min walk, so dont try it with heavy cases.
We got totally lost and it took well over an hour!! There is an easy way...from the bus depot there is a water bus stop get any boat to the Rialto, from there get a boat number 41, 42, 51 or 52 that goes to Madonna dell Orto, make sure you get the one that goes the shorter journey or you will go round the island which is a long way..watch for the boat thats heading towards the Rialto..Its a short walk from here..dont bother with the water taxis unless you check the price first, they are very expensive.

Difficult to find, so add directions as I have already listed, our room was over the bar which was noisy till about 1am some nights and we noticed the room getting smokey. The bedroom and bathroom were large, room service was excellent, staff very friendly, lovely gardens. the free boat to and from the Rialto made life a lot easier.

Hotel is located in quiet area away from the hustle and bustle of the tourist center. The complementary water taxi which takes guests to the central area in Venice is marvelous. We found the driver most accomodating. We also walked both ways one day, and found the walk to be delightful.
The hotel grounds are beautiful, and the dining is superb!

Staff was very accomodating and helpful in arranging transportation for us to reach our cruise ship port after a full day of touring in Venice.
