We were impressed by the lovely bottle of bubbly on arrival- although it might be wise to add some biscuits too!

We considered this an exceptional property and will highly recommend it to our friends. The location was great! The service was always provided with the right touch. The breakfast was very good. The taxi to Murano was very nice touch - the Murano glass company also benefited.

all arrangements for pickup from airport were excellent
staff were mosthelpful at all times
we met more people staying in the hotel as the bar and library room were more used
very comfortable rooms
not enough flat space in rooms for objects
our shower only had one door and water sprayed on to foor
we would recommend it without hesitation scored highly on all points

My wife & I were celebrating our 25th Wedding Anniversary and Venice was the perfect place for it,compimented by our stay at the Duodo Palace Hotel. We found the staff charming and very helpful, special thanks to Francesco at reception.

We had a very early flight to catch, and the front desk staff was very helpful in arranging a taxi, and also prepared little bags with breakfast items for each member of our family. This service was very unexpected and appreciated.

The location was excellent, the rooms and facilities were absolutely first class. The staff was amazing. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely want to stay at the Duodo Palace again should we return to Venice (which I hope we will).

Hotel was clean and recently furnished. A towel bar and shower door support rod in our bathroom fell during our stay.

Clean, quiet, good location for major sites. Recently furnished and still correcting some problems with new furnishings. Breakfast was very limited.

The taxi boat ride from the airport to the front (?) door was an excellent introduction to the holiday. Our reception and introduction to our rooms was carried out very professionally.

Hotel and rooms were excellent although the single wardrobe and no chest of drawers in our junior suite was a little bit of a surprise!

Checking out was handled easily, although use of Travellers Cheques to pay for stay was complicated so put it on a card instead - no extra charge for card use.
The room price was a little excessive although probably in line with other hotels in Venice.

Better (fuller) description of the rooms - what's there and what's not - I thought a junior suite would have been larger than the rooms we got (although adequate and probably fair for size of building). I would have classified the room as 'superior' rather than 'a junior suite'.

Excellent, friendly, well positioned with highly competent and helpful staff (but with an unpleasantly noisy toaster at breakfast).

We booked a water taxi to the hotel and the experience was superb. A magical start to our stay in Venice

Pictures and discriptions on the web showed only spacious looking bedrooms with elaborate decoration. Our room (502) was rather cramped and very simlpy decorated and the shower room in particular very small.Whilst this was a perfectly adequate room for our purposes the pictures were a little misleading.

Everything was done in a professional,friendly, efficient manner and the water taxi booked for our return to the airport was promt.

A delightful, small hotel in a quiet backwater(literally!) but within easy walking of all the main attractions. Very helpful staff speaking excellent English.

Breakfast should be revamped. It's not acceptable for a hotel like this to provide processed orange juice and sub-standard cereals. The breakfast roon, although small, was pleasant, and the tableware cutlery, etc., very acceptable. But the should provide fresh juices and decent cereals.

Low key, unexciting, comfortable, not especially memorable, adequate, very good staff, no problems, but forget the orange juice at breakfast!

There is a small wine bar room which looked great but the service was poor. The 'bartender' would disappear (from the bar) for as much as 45 minutes at a time. The room was nice but it took us two nights to determine that the thermostat in the room was over-ridden by the front desk. After two cold nights we determined that the staff had to turn up the heat. The hotel still offered good value by Venice standards.
