Foscari Palace is located close to the famous Ca' d'Oro, magnificent masterpiece of Venetian architecture and home to one of the most important museums of the town. With just 5 minutes in walking distance from the Rialto Bridge and 15 minutes from St Mark's square, but still off the most crowded areas, the hotel is an ideal starting point for a visit of Venice. Nevertheless, the waterbus stop is just around the corner and a Gondola may be used to cross the Grand Canal and reach the Rialto Market. |

Coming by Plane:
From Venice Marco Polo airport there are several ways to reach us:
1 - Use the airport mini-bus to get to the harbor and then get a water-taxi straight to the Hotel private dock. A pick-up may also be arranged by contacting the reservations;
2 - Use the airport mini-bus to get to the harbor and then get the Red-line Alilaguna waterbus to "St. Mark's Square" and then get Waterbus nr. 1 to "Ca' D'Oro" station(the Golden House). Once there take Rio Terrą, walk for 2 minutes and you will find the hotel on the right hand side (Campo S.Sofia).
3 - Get on the ATVO (blue) shuttle-bus or the ACTV (orange) bus nr. 5 to "Piazzale Roma" (Venice Bus Terminal) then take waterbus nr. 1 to "Ca' D'oro"station;
Once there take Rio Terrą, walk for 2 minutes and you will find the hotel on the right hand side (Campo S.Sofia).
Coming by Train:
From Venice S.Lucia railway station take waterbus nr. 1 to "Ca' D'oro" station (direction "Rialto/St. Mark's Square"). Once there take Rio Terrą, walk for 2 minutes and you will find the hotel on the right hand side (Campo S.Sofia).
If your luggage is not too heavy you can reach us also on foot: walk down "Lista di Spagna" (from the station, out to the left) for approx. 15-20 mins (1,5 km). Past the "Ca' D'oro", you'll see "Campo St. Sofia" on the right.
Coming by Car:
Reaching Venice by car is not so complicated because there are many and very clear signs to get there. You can drive to Venice by A4 from Trieste and Torino, A 27 from Belluno and A 13 from Bologna. All these roads have directions for Venice. You will arrive in the city crossing the bridge called "Ponte della Libertą". At the end of the bridge you will find 2 parkings: "Comunale" and "S.Marco".
Park your car and take waterbus nr. 1 up to "Ca' D'Oro" station; once there take Rio Terrą, walk for 2 minutes and you will find the hotel on the right hand side (Campo S.Sofia). |
