Coming by car:
The Island of Lido is directly linked to the dry land by a ferry boat line (n 17). At the end of Ponte della Libertà (the long bridge linking Venice to the dry land) there is a trafic lights: turn right towards the Tronchetto-ferry boat to Lido (San Niccolò, at about 25 minutes), it leaves every 50 minutes.
From S. Niccolò to our B&B (about 7 minutes): turn right and keeping the Lagoon side on your right, you'll reach a large square: Piazzale Santa Maria Elisabetta. Go straight on along Sandro Gallo Street (towards Malamocco-Alberoni). After the second bridge (at 2'), the name of the street changes into Malamocco Street., always straight on. After about two minutes you'll find a small round street junction (with a flower-bed). Keep straight on and you'll find a second, large round street junction. Keep straight on: after about 500m. at your right you'll find the red building of the fire-brigade. Keep straight on: after about 300m. (near the bus stop and between two red pedestrian-crossings) turn left at Via Alvisopoli. At your right you'll see the café "La Tentazione". After the café turn right at Via Rosada. Turn left and then right again: you'll find a way with small, yellow villas, with round windows. Ring the bell at N. 32, name Fumato (Paola) - Toffanello (Ubaldo).
Coming by plane:
- from Treviso Airport there is a public bus service (ATVO) linking the Airport directly to Venice - Piazzale Roma (bus Terminal).
- from Piazzale Roma, you can get to Lido by public waterbus n. 51 or 61 (about 35'). Lido is the last stop (S. Maria Elisabetta.
- from Marco Polo airport there is a waterbus named "Alilaguna" linking to Lido (the last stop, Santa Maria Elisabetta, at about 45 minutes).
Coming by train:
- out of the Railway Station of Venice (Santa Lucia), at the right side, there is a public waterbus (number n. 51) forward Lido (the last stop at about 35').
From Lido Santa Maria Elisabetta stop (the Lido main Pier Station) the B&B can be reached (in 10 mins) by public bus A or B forward Alberoni-Rocchetta. Stop at the "Case Rosse" stop (Red Houses, so called because of the colour of their walls). This stop is after the building of the fire-brigade (at your right) and btween two red pedestrian crossings. Cross the street: Via Alvisopoli. At your right you'll see the café "La Tentazione". Turn right after the café: Via Rosada. Turn left and then right again: you'll find a way with small yellow villas, with round windows. Number 32. Name Fumato (Paola) - (Toffanello Ubaldo). |
