First time we passed the entrance unfounded. They have to have a better information at hotel entrance.

The location was fantastic, our room was spotless, quiet and spacious (the bathroom was was heaven sent!), and the staff were so welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was delicious and the coffee was the best I had the entire trip.
No elevator but the stairs weren't bad at all.
...
All of the staff were helpful and very accommadating. Franca and Ferruccio made us feel as though we were staying in their own home - special guests who were being tenderly catered to and couldn't lift a finger!
The location of the hotel was perfect to visit all the sites easily. I will stay at Goldoni again!

We were extremely please with our accommodation all of the staff were very helpful with a good standard of English. We would recommend this location to anybody

The were 2 small downsides
(1) There were a couple of mosquitoes with no spray available to kill them.
(2) Concergie would only stay up until all guests were in the residenza so one would always feel a little uncomfortable coming home late at night.

This hotel was ideally located right between Rialto bridge and St Marks square. The rooms were clean and the staff helpful and friendly. I would stay here again.

Like the majority of Hotels in Venice, Residenza Goldoni does not have a lift, and some of the rooms are on the 4th floor, up very steep, narrow stairs. You should specify in advance if you require accomodation close to the ground floor.
Residenza Goldoni is unusual however in that it can be easily reached from the vaporetto stop at Rialto Bridge, without crossing any bridges or negotiating any steps.

Clean, comfortable accomodation in an excellent location, with friendly, helpful staff - reasonably priced by Venice standards.

The reservation was for a room with a terrace, but we got a room without terrace. But after discussing the problem they charged less, so it was okay, although they did not do it vountarly.

It was easy to find and very close to vaporetto and Rialto bridge.

Nicely kept, small hotel, perfectly suited our needs, and it really is 200m from Rialto bridge!!! Had a little trouble finding it, as it is up a few side streets, but restaurant waiter directed us without fuss.

Although in a small room at the top of the hotel, our room was entirely satisfactory, the hotel is really superbly situated for the roving holiday maker!

A simple process, with no nasty suprises!

Maybe to state that it is a small hotel, I had more info reading about other visitors comments through weblinks than directly from main website

We expected a balcony.
Our window had direct access (1 meter)to another apartment that was undergoing refurbishment and work started at 07,.00each morning.

Breakfast in the room was not so easy due to having no table. We had to eat on the bed.

Good old fashioned hotel.

Air conditioning was well worth it.

The owner and his son were not on duty so we were greeted by one of the other support staff who was very nice. We spoke no Italian and she spoke no English so it was a little awkward initially.
...
I would not stay there again because there were no lifts and we were on the third floor, it was like climbing a mountain. Our bags were heavy after travelling for two weeks previously. We were offered no help with our bags.
Outside my room there was the hot water cylinder that came on regularly and noisily.
...
We had an early checkout and were told a concierge would be there to let us out - which did not happen. Fortunately we could open the doors ourselves.
...
Stress no lifts and steep stairs.
...
Well furnished and appointed, quiet, central.

My room had a terrace where I was able to sit on the first morning of my stay for taking breakfast;on the second morning it was raining and taking breakfast in the room was rather cramped. I would be interested to know if the rooms without terraces are larger , as there is not option to use a terrace for eating. The room was very clean and in good order.

We had a lovely stay. The hotel is small and cosy and is at a prime location. The family that owns the hotel is very friendly and helpful.
The only comment we have concerns breakfast: we could have done with some more bread!
(we asked for more bread the second morning and we got more without a problem!)

Our room was spotlessly clean and this was maintained throughout our stay.
...
We were very pleased by the way in which staff organised our departure by water taxi.
...
We had a rather poor view over what appeared to be the back yard of a cafe or restaurant but this was outweighed by the well appointed room. Some clients, however, might be disappointed by this.

I have already recommended the hotel to two friends who have booked with you. We described the hotel as very well located, very good value for money and rooms which are of a good size, very clean with an excellent bathroom and with very friendly staff.

It would appear from the map sent that the hotel was in a street a couple away from where the hotel was located. It would be best to tell visitors to Venice to look for the house number, this is how we fianlly found the hotel.

It was a great visit and the hotel was in a great position for site seeing.
...
As previosly mentioned better directions would be great.

The only disappointment at the hotel was the breakfast, which was served in your room. It was very basic.

This was a very nice property. The rooms were new and clean. The only disappointment was that the room looked over a small courtyard that was used for storage and it was extremely unattractive.

My children arrived the night before I did and I had booked a double room for them and expected them to change to the triple room the night I arrived. Instead, the hotel placed them in the triple room the first night and only charged for the double. We were pleasantly surprised by this and it made our stay easier since the children didn't have to change rooms.

We arrived after midnight and were concerned the hotel would be difficult to find and nobody would be there to greet us. We needn't have worried at all. It was very easy to find the hotel and indeed a great welcome awaited us.

Only one criticism. We were out very late on the Saturday night (12.15pm) and felt we had annoyed the hotel staff as it was all locked up when we arrived back and they looked as thoughwe had got them out of bed.

From the Airport, we took the ACTV bus to Palazzo Roma, and then a water taxi to the Rialto stop and walked. Taking the taxi was fun and scenic, and the short walk to the inn was easy!

Our stay was really great. Everything as promised on the website. The only thing that would have improved our stay would have been air conditioning. It was unseasonably warm during our stay and the a/c was not turned on yet, so we had to sleep with the windows open. This wasn't a big problem, but we did encounter a few pesky mosquitos.

We thought the Residenza Goldini was a very good value for the money. Staff was great, facility clean and comfortable. Owner went out of his way to help us arrange a taxi to transport our huge luggage from hotel to cruise ship.

The Rezidenza Goldini is a charming little hotel, located just blocks from the Rialto bridge and minutes from San Marco Square. The father/son owners were also charming, and very attentive to our every need. The hotel is decorated tastefully and is very clean. (Looks just like website). The accommodation provided could not have been better for my brief visit to Venice. It was ideal as a central base and the staff could not have been more helpful. If there was a slight downside - my room was a little noisy being situated by a air ventilator, but was not the end of the world especially as there are not many single rooms available in Venice at such a reasonable rate. I would be happy to return.

My difficulty in finding the hotel was most likely due to my unfamiliarity with Venice, and in Venice most things were hard to find even with a detailed map. All the other receptionists were noteably polite and warm.

Extraordinarily well-kept facilities; my single room with bath was beautifully and recently renovated. Utterly no street noise, despite the location.

I had to leave at 4:50 a.m. to catch the vaporetto for Piazzale Roma for the airport shuttle. The front desk was not manned when I came down from my room and the street door was locked. There was also no obvious sign or bell to summon the night concierge, though I succeeded in making enough noise that finally the young woman arrived. I am fluent in Italian and was able to explain my need to leave, but this kind of situation might panic someone who didn't speak the language--since her English was very rudimentary.
...
Immaculate, extraordinarily comfortable, completely renovated with very modern facilities. Far above the level I have often found in its price range in Venice. The proprietor was charming and very helpful. I was there on business and he recommended a moderate and top-notch Trattoria around the corner where I felt very at ease dining solo. Despite its proximity to the Rialto Bridge, the hotel still feels removed from the worst of the touristic excess.

Breakfast was very basic and was only available between 8am - 9:30am which makes it difficult if you need to depart earlier. The language barrier was challenging at times, but we managed to get by.
