easy to use and good value. ... Nerves !!! Especially at booking our first holiday using the Internet. ... We got all information we needed by doing it ourselves ... I don't recall directions being given in the details but we enjoy map reading. Unfortunately Vittoria was waiting for us at the Arsenale boat stop and we had already made our way to Grandiben, but after a phone call to the owners they contacted her and she came quickly to let us in. ... We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The only thing we would comment on was that the photographs made the Palazzo look a lot lighter and brighter than it actually was, but once we got used to turning lights on during the day we soon got used to that. ... Wish we hadn't had to really! ... That there are no drying facilities outside. We put some clothes out on a rack and a local lady pasing by went through them, presumably to see if anything would fit her! Also I mistakenly expected there to be an oven of the sort I had at home and it took me a while to fathom the workings of the one in the apartment. ... Easy, good value, and so exciting to arrange our own trip rather than go to a travel agents in the high street and wade through brochures. ... Different, spacious, clean, very well-equipped, excellent location. Just brilliant really.

The directions to the accomodation were appaling, it was very lucky that we found the place at all. The housekeeper was not particualry helpful and appeared more concerned about the money than our comfort or security. There could have been a little flexibility on the morning of checkout as no one else was coming to the apartment and baggage etc could have been left at the apartment but this was blocked by the housekeeper as it was not convenient to her. ... No help at all, the information on availability was obtained by going through all the available sites independantly. ... Quite small but clean & basic, adequate for the purpose of a weekend stay. The apartment was in a nice location, near to the sights but far enough away to miss the crowds. The apartment however was very noisy with locality to church bells and the canal.

It was confusing because when we stood before the entrance door, there was no indication whatsover that it was Grandiben. There were 8 names on the door, but none mentioned 'Grandiben'. It would be very usufull for your arriving customers if you would instruct them which bell to ring. ... This is a very nice apparetment. ... An excellent place for a stay at Venice.

The appartement was not very clean. Dust everywhere, on the floor were layers of dust, the kitchen was sticky. We had to clean the rooms not to raise clouds of dust everytime. ... Perhaps a later check out? ... Dirty, but all in all nice.

Apartment could have used a more thorough cleaning - the obscure places were a bit dirty. ... Check-out was a 10 am, but our flight didn't leave until 6:45 pm, and so we had to take our luggage all the way to left baggage facility the bus station. It would have been nice if we had been able to make an alternative arrangement. ... Quiet, convenient, comfortable.

the final cleaning charge of 60 euro was excessive considering that the property was not as clean as we would have liked to begin with.
There ought to be a door on the second room for privacy instead of just a curtain. ... adequate.

We were delayed on arrival and reached the apartment later than planned, however there was nobody at the apartment when we got there. In the confirmation it stated that we would be met by the housekeeper - luckily I had my mobile phone and made contact and she came round. If I hadn't got my mobile we could have been there indefinitely. Also, the housekeeper did not seem aware of the voucher which we had to present on check-in. ... Generally, the apartment was very comfortable with good facilities, though I felt cleanliness lacked in a few areas, ie some kitchen equipment and quite dusty! Also, there was no oven in the kitchen, which in an apartment is always useful to have if you stay for a longer duration. ... Check out was fine, though we would have benefited from a later check-out, as our flight was not until 21.00. ... The apartment was ideal for two, wouldn't recommend it for six people, (might be a bit of a squeeze even for four!) In a quiet area, but within easy reach of the main square. I would recommend this as a good base from which to explore Venice and surrounding areas.
