Profile

The building was originally constructed by the Sagredo family in the 15th century, and throughout the centuries works of art from famous Venetian painters such as Giambattista Tiepolo, Pietro Sebastiano Ricci and Pietro Longhi became part of the internal decoration. The palazzo was catalogued as a National Monument but had to be closed down in the 1980`s: after 7 years of state of the art renovations, it was opened as a hotel in may 2005.

Beautiful stuccoes and frescoes are therefore part of your stay at the Ca'Sagredo: for example, at the Presidential Suite, there are remarkable plasters by Sebastiano Ricci, an artist from the 18th century. The best ingredient to add to this recipe is the view, as most guestrooms overlook the Gran Canal, the main waterway in Venice.

This romantic spot where the inn is found has all sorts of attractions nearby: the Ca' D'Oro Palazzo, the Rialto Bridge and the commercial area Cannaregio are easy to reach as the Ca Sagredo has its own stop for watertaxis, one of the means of transport that carry tourists along the Gran Canal and other waterways in this unbelievable city.
