We walked right by not expecting Calle dei Fabbri to be such a narrow 'street'.. having said that.. we enjoyed the atmosphere of the narrow walkways once we knew what we were looking for.. ... The street was more charming than expected.. we loved Venice and will be back. ... Charming area of Venice (mind you.. all of Venice was charming) .. convenient to the vaperetto, St. Mark's, shopping and excellent osterias and trattorias. Easy to walk to other areas of Venice... and we did. Our room at Hotel Noemi had great Venician decoration - it was very clean, comfortable and charming - crisp white sheets/towels and new and very clean bathroom. Comfy pillows! It was all and more than we expected and helped give us wonderful memories of a wonderful city. It was a great retreat after a busy day - time for a nap - and out again for the evening. We'll be back - both to Venice AND the Hotel Noemi.

The Noemi was disappointing. The worst stay on our 3+ week vacation. A room with a shared bath is OK, but not having to cross the lobby to get to the bath.
The room was stark and couldn't really close off the omnipresent outside noise.
Staff was inattentive. ... We left early and had to negotiate a reduced price for leaving early, even though the hotel was full and people were looking for a room. ... Not worth it. Find a better location and a cleaner, better run facility.

The gentleman who was on duty when we arrived was very courteous and helpful. ... We were extremely impressed with the accommodation particularly as it was listed as a one star hotel. The rooms were very clean and we felt that they had been decorated on the Doges palace theme. The bathroom although small, was very clean and adequate. The central location of the hotel was a massive bonus. ... The only thing that upset us was that our confirmation of booking showed that we had to check out at 11.30am but the man at reception rang us to say that we had to check out at 11.00am. He was quite rude about about the email that we showed him confirming the fact that the check out time was 11.00am and his attitude was that we should have known this. To save confusion for other guests it would be useful if everyone was saying the same thing. ... I have already told friends that this is a little gem of a hotel in a fanatastic area at a reasonable cost. I did not find the restaurant impressive - very average food for high prices. The service could have been better and the decor looks worn.

We loved our stay at the Hotel Noemi...location was excellent for all of Venice... staff was nice...facility was very comfortable. Air conditioning was not as cool as Americans are used to...but we didn't mind. Thanks for helping us with the reservation. When we return to venice, we intend to -=stay there again! Most sincely...Rob and Susan Martin

arrival late at night was no problem ... water heater in the shower was not turned on so we had to wait 1/2 an hour for a shower every morning - and there were no instructions about how to turn it on ... more should be made of it's location - your website offers no other accommodation that is comparable in value for location ... this is the 3rd time we have stayed at this hotel and we will continue to stay there for all of our trips to Venice - it's a lovely friendly and intimate hotel - it cannot be beaten for value for money and location to St Marks Square

#1 - reception area is 1 floor up from street level...
#2 - rooms in hotel start 1 floor about the reception area..
#3 - for the elderly...mentioning no elevators would be appropriate... ... Since Venice is a walking city...the location of the hotel is excellent... Would highly recommencd it...

Thank you for your highly informative website. WorldBy makes it as easy as possible to pick the hotel suited to your needs. The pictures and accomodations you give are perfect! ... Beware of the annoying restauranteur who is always standing outside the hotel trying to lure you and other tourists into the attached Noemi restaurant to eat. After a few times passing by and not taking him up on his offer, you'd think he would stop. He doesn't and it is very bothersome. No clothes irons provided, as in most hotels in Italy. ... The overall stay at Hotel Noemi was better than average. The staff was extremely helpful and the room was sufficient in space. Very quiet hotel. It's just a 1 minute walk from the beautiful St. Mark's square, very convenient being that my wife and I spent most of our Venice honeymoon in this area. We had a wonderful time in Venice and at the hotel Noemi.

There were more stairs than I expected and the staff were gratious and helped with our bags to the room. That was most appreciated. ... The only confusion was breakfast. I got the impression it was not provided from the online presentation and I was pleasantly surprised that it was provided. ... I think it is well presented. ... Great convenient location, not difficult to find from the water-bus stop and really a very good value for such a clean and nicely furnished hotel.

The beautiful rooms which are on the website are in a different building: it is just around the corner but not exactly inside the hotel hall; it is very quiet and calm but in case you need something you have to go and ask the hotel keeper in an other building; we've had exactly the room shown on the web site and it was really great!

Bathroom is clean but there is certain smell, not really sure what that smell is.. ... only thing it need is air freshener in the bathroom. Other than that it was great place to stay... ... location, and atmosphere.

I had thought the room was advertised as being air-conditioned (which it was not), but may have confused with a different hotel's advertisement, as I checked out several. ... See above. Staff cheerfully provided me with an electric fan when requested. ... It went fine. ... *If* the site advertises all rooms as air condirioned, this should be changed. (But, as stated above, perhaps I misperceived the site). ... I would say it was a good value for the money (considering that it's in Venice), and that the location was excellent.

We arrived shortly after 1pm-the check-in time stated, and we waited approx. 10/15 minutes for the receptionist to appear from outdoors. But, he was very polite and helpful. ... Our room was extremely small, but we were happy with it for its brilliant location. No hot water in the morning for showering and a bad amount of Mosquito bites from inside the room on both myself and my partner. BUT, we were in all happy with the stay in Venice. It was a one star after all. ... Excellent location-conveniently placed on the road which leads from St Marks to the Rialto Bridge. Wouldn't stay again-mosquito bites have put me off, but the staff and location would make it a good deal even if I couldn't quite describe it as cheap. Very, very small and dark.

Close to St. Mark's but correspondingly expensive, as is most of Venice. Street activity (stores, passers-by) can be noisy. Restaurant is OK.

We were told in an email that we would have twin beds, but we had one bed. ... Very low water pressure in the shower. Early and late noise from desk and arriving customers. ... Were charged for a phone call that didn't go through to the receiver (no answer).
