The owner(?) of San Georgio was delightful- very helpful and considerate- he made a big difference to our short stay in Venice- we would recommend the hotel to anyone.

There was a mistake with our booking but this was dealt with very efficiently and we could not complain about our treatment- mistakes happen but this was rectified

We have already recommended both Worldby and specifically, veniceby to several friends. Not only do you offer a range of accommodations from which to choose, to suit personal preferences and budget, but the descriptions are honest. The mailback service after accommodation enquiries via the website, was very prompt and augmented by offers from other properties, giving the enqirer a choice.

Valerio, the owner/manager? was extremely helpful at all times. Despite the general verdict in guide books with regard to breakfast deals as being negative, our experience at the hotel was a very positive one and we both looked forward to breakfast, each day.

The manager of the hotel gave as very useful information about the city. This kind of information has made possible a wonderful time in Nenice for us.

It has to be included and stressed, that the location of the hotel is only 5 minutes from the Saint Macos Square. An that almost every importat place in the city can be reached in a couple of minutes (walking). We think, that this is a very important aspect for tourists to make a hotel selection

A very well designed website.
But I would recommend better directions for travelling from the airport to the hotel. Also a better map showing the location of the hotel in Venice.

We travelled throughout Italy and this hotel definately had the best service, comparatively. We truly appreciated the gentleman who worked in reception - he was polite and extremely helpful. A two-star hotel with five star service.

Venice is very expensive. Hotel San Giorgio is a good deal in an expensive city. The manager, Valerio, is very knowledgeable and helpful. He has any information a tourist would need about Venice, and speaks excellent English. The rooms were clean but small, but from what I understand, pretty typical of Venice. A good continental breakfast is included. I would highly recommend the hotel and would stay there again.

It was very clear to find the way from the airport by bus and then by waterbus and also the station was clear. But when we arrived at the campo near the hotel it was very difficult to find the correct little street to the hotel.

The staff were very friendly and the breakfast was very good for italian hotels. They asked us if we like omelett with ham or cheese or crepes with jam or chocolet. And we got joghurt, several fruits,müsli.

Because all the hotels in venice are expensive, it was a fair price. Somewhere else we wouldn`t pay this price for this room.

Valerio the receptionist is VERY helpful (including explaining the map, arrangements of Murano excursion or concerts tickets).

The front of the hotel is terrible. But inside is always clean. Rooms are not very quite - you can hear when your neighbour is oppening his room's door, as like he was opening your room's door.

VERY DIFFICULT TO FIND DUE TO THE NATURE OF VENICE BEING A LABYRINTH. TOOK 2 HOURS INSTEAD OF HALF AN HOUR.

THE BEDROOM AND BATHROOM WERE CRAMPED, BUT PROBABLY REFLECTED IN PRICE FOR VENICE.THE PHOTOS DID MAKE THE INTERIOR LOOK MORE GRAND THAN IT ACTUALLY IS,-GOOD MARKETING! THE LOCATION IS VERY GOOD THOUGH.
NO-ONE WARNED US ABOUT THE MOSQUITOS, WE HAD 32 BITES BETWEEN US THE FIRST NIGHT. OUCH!

No hairdryer provided in the single room - but we asked for one at reception and got one.
The shower in the single room was very small and was fixed above the toilet.
The TV aerial was broken so we could not watch TV.

It is a little noisy - the hallways in the hotel are noisy - not much soundproofing.
