By Car
There are some garages in Venice, such as "Tronchetto" (at Isola del Tronchetto) or "Garage Comunale" and "Garage San Marco" (at Piazzale Roma, the bus-terminal).
Tronchetto: as you approach Venice, at the traffic light after the "Ponte della Libertà", the bridge linking Venice to the mainland, turn right and follow signs to Tronchetto Island. La Locandiera can be reached by public transport with line 82 (through "Canale della Giudecca" in 35/40 minutes) to "San Zaccaria" boat-station. From the boat-stop "San Zaccaria" walk on the left, cross the bridge and take the first street on your right called "Calle delle Rasse" (if You arrive with line 1 or 82 through Canal Grande, the San Zaccaria-pier is in front of "Calle delle Rasse") at the end of it turn left in "Campo San Filippo e Giacomo", at the right corner of this small square take "Calle Sacrestia" and turn left before the bridge into "Calle di fianco la Chiesa", on the left you will find the entrance of La Locandiera.
Piazzale Roma: at the traffic-light drive straight to Piazzale Roma where you can find "Garage Comunale" (first big building on the right) or "Garage San Marco" (on the right, the red big building at the end of street). You can reach La Locandiera by public transport to San Zaccaria boat stop, with line 1 (50 minutes) and line 82 (40 minutes) through Canal Grande or line 41 and 51 (25 minutes) through Canal della Giudecca. From the boat-stop "San Zaccaria" walk on the left, cross the bridge and take the first street on your right called "Calle delle Rasse" (if You arrive with line 1 or 82 through Canal Grande, the San Zaccaria-pier is in front of "Calle delle Rasse") at the end of it turn left in "Campo San Filippo e Giacomo", at the right corner of this small square take "Calle Sacrestia" and turn left before the bridge into "Calle di fianco la Chiesa", on the left you will find the entrance of La Locandiera.
By Plane
Marco Polo International Airport is about 10 km far from Venice. You can come in Venice by the shuttle-boat "Alilaguna", it takes 1h10m with stops in Murano Island and Lido and finally at St. Mark's Square. From the pier (San Zaccaria) walk on the left, cross the bridge in front and take the first street on your right, "Calle delle Rasse" at the end of it turn left in "Campo San Filippo e Giacomo", at the right corner of this small square take "Calle Sacrestia" and turn left before the bridge into "Calle di fianco la Chiesa", on the left You will find the entrance of La Locandiera.
Sometimes the Alilaguna Shuttle arrives at San Marco Station (Giardinetti) from there You have to turn on the right and walk straight along the canal, You have to cross the bridge in front and then turn on Your left at "Calle delle Rasse" from there You follow the instructions above.
La Locandiera is easy to reach also by private water taxi in 30 minutes. Ask to the taxi-driver to stop at "Campo Querini Stampalia" located two minutes from us (from there cross the bridge to come into "Fondamenta del Remedio" and follow it up to the end, after the porch on the left You will find La Locandiera).
By Train
La Locandiera can be quickly reached from the Santa Lucia Railway station by public transport (Vaporetto), with line 1 (45 minutes) and line 82 (35/40 minutes) through Canal Grande or line 41 and 51 (30 minutes) through Canal della Giudecca to "San Zaccaria". From the boat-stop walk on the left, cross the bridge and take the first street on your right called "Calle delle Rasse" (if You arrive with line 1 or 82 through Canal Grande, the San Zaccaria-pier is in front of "Calle delle Rasse") at the end of it turn left in "Campo San Filippo e Giacomo", at the right corner of this small square take "Calle Sacrestia" and turn left before the bridge into "Calle di fianco la Chiesa", on the left you will find the entrance of La Locandiera.
