 "Le Mende" is situated in the Dorsoduro area, five minutes walking from the public water-bus stop. It is close to the Accademia and Peggy Guggenheim museums, various art galleries, shops, restaurants, cafés and a supermarket (a rare thing in Venice). It is easy to reach by public transport and wonderful walks through Piazza San Marco, the Salute and the Punta della Dogana with its memorable view of the city. The house is in Calle de le Mende. |

By plane:
The nearest airport is in Venice. From there you can take a taxi or the bus, leaving directly to Piazzale Roma. Then take a water taxi or the "Vaporetto", line 1, to Accademia. From the stop, turn left leaving behind you Ponte dell'Accademia and turn right in Rio Terŕ Antonio Foscarini. Take the second "calle" (small street) on your left: Calle Nova S.Agnese. Cross Ponte S. Vio and at the end of Calle de la Chiesa, turn right crossing Ponte del Formager and you reach Calle de le Mende, where the house is located.
By train:
The nearest railway station is Venezia anta Lucia. Close to the station, you find the the Vaporetto stop: take the boat, line 1, within Accademia stop. From the Vaporetto stop, as above. If you prefer you can take a water taxi from the station.
By car:
We suggest to reach Venice by train or by plane, but if you come with your own car, you have to leave it at Piazzale Roma Parking. From the highway, follow the directions to the city centre and the railway station. When you reach anta Lucia station, leave the car and reach the property with a water taxi or with vaporetto: as above. |
