We arrived to be met by very friendly staff who gave us full details of what to see in venice< a very pleasent greeting.
...
All was as we expected, the room was clean and as described.
...
It is most importent that guests should know that they will need to climb a steep set of stairs to reach the hotel reception.
...
This is an ideal location to stay to be able to see all of Venice.Probebly one of the best locations in the city, with homely comforts and an addiquate self service breakfast.

The receptioniste was very warm and welcoming, had good English and even gave us a free cup of tea/coffee. Also, a staff member rushed down o help me up the stairs with my bag.
...
The room, the facilities, the position, the staff - all were excellent.
...
We left early but all was arranged the day before and reakfast was available for us
...
Delightful hotel right in the heart of Venice at a very reasonable price. Little bit difficult to find (but so is all of Venice til you become familiar). The stairs up are steep but the historic status of the building means they are not allowed to install a lift - worth the climb!

We very much enjoyed our stay at Al Palazzo Lion Morosini. Our host Christina was there to greet us when we arrived. She was very professional and polite. We checked in without any trouble. There were quite a few stairs to climb but we already knew this from other people's comments on your web site and so came prepared to climb them. This was not a problem for us.
...
The Al Palazzo Lion Morosini was a wonderful experience. Our room was the exact one we hoped to get with a fantastic view of the Grand Canal. The breakfast was good but on 2 occasions you ran out of the croissants before we had breakfast and this was disappointing. The staff all were very professional, willing and able to give us directions to various attractions we were searching for.
...
Our flight left Venice at 7:00 a.m. so we needed to be at the airport by 5:00 a.m. This meant we had to get the first Vaparetto to the airport at 4:27 a.m. In order to do this we needed to arise at 3:30 a.m. The host gave us an alarm clock so we could get ourselves up as well as helping us find the right Vaparetto landing and telling us how to get to it.
...
I don't think there is anything you can do about this because of the way the streets are named but it would be helpful finding the B&B if somehow the directions could be clearer. However, once having said that my wife and I decided to take finding the B&B on as an adventure and this helped us cope when one or the other of us began to get frustrated.
One more thing that you probably wouldn't put on your web sight that I found particularly fascinating was the amount of activity that takes place on the wharf on the piazza below - from garbage collection to food delivery and the comraderie of all the men involved in the wheels of operating in the city of canals!!
...
I would tell them that it was gorgeous; that the hosts were professional and helpful; that the food was good but sometimes sparse; the rooms very comfortable and its location is right in the heart of Venice on the Grand Canal.

I was offered a choice of rooms, which was lovely.
...
Wonderful location (once you find it!), very friendly, lovely patio for breakfast overlooking the Grand Canal. Bath/shower was tiny but I would stay there again.
...
Was able to leave my bags until I I was ready to leave Venice, although they were just left in the corridor (which made me feel a little insecure, although they were perfectly safe).
...
A great place to stay, especially if you only have limited time in Venice.

We enjoyed our stay and the locatin within Venice was very good. However we got lost and got off of the watertaxi at the wrong stop. Had we had the map that was provided at the Malaspina that showed the exact location ( ie if that map was on the internet) then we probably could have found it much more easily.
...
We really enjoyed the room, it's location on the canel offered a great view and was close to all major attractions and great eateries. However we must note that we were slightly disappointed with the breakfast.
...
Yes as above - the exact location of where to get on and off the water taxi. This is very important when travelling with luggage that is hard to move up and down steps.

Got terrible lost as the hotel is in a back ally.

Rooms were very clean

Interesting with warm ambiance. Allows you to really experience Venice as it is situated in the hub of all activities.

Each time I returned to my room from the daily
adventures I felt like I was just going home.
I was taken by how central the hotel was and
felt safe and confident coming and going just
like at home.
...
It seems that the 'dock' area is some sort of
meeting place for young locals which I found
cute considering the whole of Venice being so
overtaken by tourists.
...
I have already spoken highly about the place
to a number of people, being such a central
location for a reasonable price i would
definitely encourage anyone to consider.

The only problem we had were the instructions to get to the B&B and how to get there from the airport. I took the Alilaguna from the airport, but I was told later that there were 2 Alilagunas. One that makes many stops and one that is more direct. Also one of the guests we were meeting there told us she took the #2 from San Marco, not the #1 and/or #82 and that took to the Rialto stop.
...
Cristina was especially helpful with directions, calling a water taxi for us,holding our luggage for us while we went to San Marco piazza, etc. The entire staff was very nice. The location was excellent. For the price, we were very satisfied and would stay there again.
...
My adapter was not working & they had extra blowdryers that they let me use during my stay. Later I bought a new adapter & used my own blowdryer. A good thing since we then went on to Pordenone & stayed at a Best Western, which had only a blowdryer that looked more like a vacuum hose.
...
Al Palazzo Lion Morosini is an excellant place to stay for the price.Great location, very nice room & bathroom, & a decent breakfast to get you started. The best asset, however, is the kind and helpful staff.

finding the front door was a bit of a
challenge.......
...
Christina was just wonderful and patient
answering all our questions. The property is
very nice and the location good.

PS the restaurant downstairs was just the
best.
...
Suggestion:

Take down the low fabric walls of the entry
foyer and have the guests enter into a high
ceilinged room with front desk and eating
area......will be much more impressive and
open.

great situation of the hotel but the hotel is in a very hidden street (not referenced on many maps), so some indication along a major street to the hotel would be of great help.
...
once again: great location for an affordable price.
...
nice breakfast terrasse.
...
if you want to stay in heart of Venice in a walking distance of max. 15min from the major attractions, that's the place to be !

Just difficult to find the hotel. had to ask a couple of times, went round in circles etc.

Not a huge problem
...
The room, though large was dark and with a very very small bathroom. The breakfast was poor.

Staff were friendly and helpful

the directions were not clearly laid out from the railway station and the place was very difficult to find.the bathroom was very small and the toilet bowl was so near the bath as to make it very difficult to use.also the tv had no channels in english. however the staff were very friendly and polite and this will be our lasting impression of this hotel.

Even though the staff was very polite and the accommodation was somewhat as agreed (room with three beds & 'canal view'), we felt that the hotel was not as good as the pictures and description indicated and was overpriced. The room was small when it had been described as 'spacious' and we were told that the 'bigger rooms for three people' had a bath/shower combination. Our room only had a shower. We got the impression that it was much nicer from the website. Also, the breakfast was very poor.
...
We spent more than we normally would have on this hotel as it was meant to be a special treat for my mother. It was a big disappointment.
...
Very poor breakfast!

I stayed for five nights in a room with no window! It certainly had no views of the canal as the lovely pictures on the website indicate. So it was not a pleasant place to come back to and relax after a long day out. Especially when the weather can be so temperamental in Venice, there were many times I needed to be in the room. Also, there was no toilet seat on the toilet. When I mentioned this on the first day, they said they would try and fix/replace it, but this did not happen for the entire 5 nights. Also, the shower head did not fit into its holder, so had to be held onto manually the whole shower.
...
It's about the cheapest place in Venice itself that you could find, but certainly not comparable to any other accommodation in the world you could expect for that amount of money. Venice is expensive!!

We had to search for the B&B. No signe give the direction. We had to take a very small passage, turn left, then right to arrive to the piazza that we see online. It was a lot of luck that we find it!!!!
...
Venezia is a very expensive city, so the price was fair enough!
...
A better map to find the B&B
...
Nice place along the 'Grand Canal', with wonderful view from the breakfast table. Quite good situation in the city, around the Rialto.
Just to sleep, without wanting to stay inside for a long time!

It was not like an hotel, more a hostel, no place to stay outside the room, but for a short stay, it was o.k.

Old but cozy. The breakfast room is very small and the breakfast does not live up to a continental breakfast.

The voucher said we had a room with air conditioning. We didn't; instead we had a room with a fan. That wasn't too bad, but the receptionist tried to tell us that a fan and air conditioning were the same thing.

Our receptionist was very helpful and kind throughout our visit, assiting us with our sight seeing plans and our travel arrangements.
...
We had a very small room with a very small bathtub/shower . The bathtub/shower was a safety hazard since it was too small to sit in and was dangerously sloped so that standing was very unsafe. It would be a good idea to remove this tub and put in a standup shower stall.
...
The location and age of the facility make this accomodation very appealing to a tourist who will be in Venice for only a short time.
