Lovely hotel. Better than our stay at the Gritti Palace. We would come back again. We especially loved the view from our balconey of the cruise ships coming into Venice.

on arrival in our room we had beautiful flowers and a chilled bottle of bubbly. We opened the bubbly and opened the windows overlooking the lagoon and watched the world go by, it was simpley wonderful.

The stay was excellent. We will recommend the hotel to others and come again ourselves if we come to Venice.
The only small comment is that the air conditioning in the room was not working. In late April this did not matter greatly - we opened the windows wide.

An excellent hotel in a fine position with a very good standard of welcome and service. The rooms at the front have magnificent views over the bustling waterfront of San Zaccaria to the lagoon beyond.

There was a canal view room available for an extra 100 euro per night that I chose to stay in. I told them that it was my honeymoon and they had Champagne waiting for us.

We arrived long before the check-in time (as we came in on the 5:30 night train from Rome) and the staff could not have been more gracious and accommodating, even allowing us to access our room early in the morning.

One of the most lovely hotels I have stayed in. I felt completely pampered in an atmosphere of total competence. I would jump at the chance to stay there again!

Pretty standard.

My first choice of Hotel was The Hotel Metropole. As they were full, I booked at the Londra Palace. Our 'superior' room was very small - but clean. No part of the hotel had any character. The famed roof garden was extremely small and there was no access to it anyway. Breakfast adequate. Service generally very good. But it will definitely be The Hotel Metropole whenever possible, never the Londra Palace again ...

I would say that it appeared that many of the rooms at the Londra Palace were luxurious - but our room felt more like a broom cupboard, with the added attraction of scaffolding outside the window. As I said, it was clean and efficient, but I felt had absolutely no character or atmosphere.

small room, cheap furnishings, frayed carpet, shower curtain did not work and water always spilled out on floor, hallways only had a curtain to cover utility rooms

Our room was very small and over the kitchen. We paid 380 Euros per night which is very expensive but since it is a 5 star hotel, we went for it. The time we were there was apparently high season and the status of our room went from superior to standard because of that. The description of the rooms were for the suites which are 700+Euros a night. Overall, it was just okay.

The location is great. The breakfast was very marginal.
