The Hotel Marconi was a magnificent example of everything we dreampt that Venice and the Grand Canal represents. We had a fantasic stay and look forward to returning for a future visit.

I have stayed many times before at the Hotel Marconi. It is always my first choice when visiting Venice. It never changes, the high standard is always consistent.

Given that we were leaving to catch a morning flight, it would have been good if the breakfast room could have been opened fully earlier rather than just for coffee and a slice of bread, at 6.30. I understand the constraints the breakfast staff are under, though (living outside Venice)

this hotel gets my particular approval as its a good hotel but it allows you to check in at any time whereas most others dont allow this till 2pm,and in the day of cheap flights at inconvenient arrival times it is a definate bonus,actually its why i chose this hotel over others

make more of a point of check in at any time...its a big bonus for travellers

no bar - it does not state that there is one, but one would expect most hotels to have a bar of some sort

For a person who has neber been to Venice before it is difficult to undersand how to get from one place to another. Also if you have a lot of luggage it can be back breaking. The Hotel does not have a bell boy at all time nor a trolley to help with the luggage.

The air conditioning was terrible - complaine many times but with no luck. The second time the receptionist was pretty rude blaming it on the hot weather outside.

Again, absence of bell boy meant I had to carry the luggage down three floors by myself despite having told the receptionist that i needed help the night before. When I came down to check out at 5 am the receptionist was sleeping and all the lights were off.

We absoutly loved Hotel Marconi, which was very quaint and charming, and offered a great location within Venice. The staff was exceptional, and very accomodating, during and upon our arrival.

Uns stand extra ein Kofferträger zur Verfügung, der unser Gepäck zum Zimmer trug. Wir hatten ein Zimmer ohne Kanal-Blick gebucht und das Hotel Marconi hat uns zum gleichen Preis für eine Nacht ein Zimmer mit Blick zum Canale Grande im gegenüberliegenden Palazzo Bembo angeboten. Wir haben das Angebot angenommen und hatten für die erste Nacht ein traumhaftes riesengroßes Zimmer mit antiker Einrichtung und drei Fenstern zum Canale Grande!!! Es war einfach perfekt und kostete tatsächlich genauso wenig wie das Zimmer für die zweite Nacht im Marconi selbst. Eine Flasche Sekt gab es auch noch dazu! Wir danken nochmals herzlich für diese Möglichkeit!

Es war ein perfekter Aufenthalt. Wir haben und in beiden Zimmern sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Zimmer waren sehr sauber, auch das Bad. Besonders gut waren verglichen mit anderen Hotels die Betten. Das Zimmer im Hotel Marconi war viel größer als wir erwartet hatten. Während wir im Pallazzo totale Ruhe genossen hatten (es gab auch nur fünf Zimmer dort), war es im Marconi etwas hellhöriger, was aber der Nachtruhe keinen Abbruch getan hat. Besonders positiv war auch das Frühstück im Hotel Marconi: In einem wirklich gemütlichen Saal gibt es für ein italienisches Frühstück außergewöhnlich viele Möglichkeiten. Mit Rührei und Speck, aber auch Müsli und Obst neben Brot und Kuchen war dieses Frühstück wirklich sein Geld wert und hat uns bis abends vollkommen ausgreicht!

Sehr nett fanden wir, dass es eine extra Nische für unser Gepäck neben der Rezeption gab, die stets im Blick des Personals war. Wir haben die Koffer dort einen ganzen Tag problemlos einlagern können.

Wir hatten eine perfekte Zeit in einem gemütlichen sehr sauberen Hotel mit freundlichem Personal in exzellenter Lage. Das Hotel ist sehr zu empfehlen!

Hotel Marconi is very convenient, clean, with modern upgrades in the bathroom. People are friendly and helpful. The view is great.

Despite the positive aspects of the property
described above the least positive experience
was the breakfast. Not only did we find it
hard to find food we liked, the staff there
were extremely unfriendly. Once I asked for
the forks and was rudely ignored, then pointed
to the right place with a frown. None of the
women said good morning or checked if people
were OK.

On our arrival we were not offered the accomodation that we had booked. We were
informed that our room was at the back of the Hotel whereas we had booked a front room overlooking the Grand Canal and Rialto Bridge
The Receptionist was not at all polite and the only reason we got what we had booked was that I had brought all the e.mails with me. and on seeing me produce them he then, and only then, gave us what we had booked and not in a very polite manner.

The Hotel was very central it was spotlessly clean however we found the staff less than friendly, and the bedroom we had was very small. However we appreciate that Venice is very expensive and we did enjoy our stay.
