We arrived early before our room was ready and our bags had arrived. Upon our return later in the day our bags were in the room waiting for us. ... We had two rooms, a different room for each night as we had agreed in our reservation. both rooms were excellent. ... We checked out and the hotel kept our bags while we continued our tours. Picked up the bags later in the day before departure for the train. Had a nice complimentary cup of tea and glass of wine with Walter before leaving. ... This is a recent renovation of high quality and although our rooms had limited views we were not disappointed. Some of the rooms have views of the small canal or the enclosed courtyard. The bathrooms were excellent along with all other features of the accommodation. The coffee at breakfast is blended and roasted locally and is probably the best I have ever had. A really nice touch! ... Great little hotel that strives for four star quality at a three star price. Walter and Sandro, the host/owners, are excellent! I highly recommend Al Ponte Mocenigo to everyone. I would stay there again.

We arrived a little earlier than we expected so our rooms weren't quite ready but were seated in the courtyard and received drinks that we weren't charged for while we waited for our room which was most welcome! ... The hotel and the staff could not have been better - forget being a two star it should have been 4/5 star! Have recommended this hotel to all our friends and family and definately hope to go back again. For our last night we were unsure on where to eat so after walking around Venice late Sunday night for what seemed like hours we went back to the hotel where they then recommended somewhere for us and booked us a table - 10 mins later we were eating what was the best meal we had in Venice and at the cheapest price! ... We were unsure on the times of buses back to the airport so reception very kindly looked on both the internet and phoned up the bus service to ensure we got on the right bus and the right time. ... magical, a hidden gem amongst the small, narrow streets of Venice.

We arrived at midnight the receptionist could not have been more helpfull. He served us wine in the courtyard and was very helpfull. He was not at all concerned because it was so late. ... All of the staff were very helpfull and should be commended. We will be staying at this hotel again. ... Our departure was in the evening, and the hotel allowed us to leave our cases there which saved carrying them all day. The day we left was the day of the London bombing and when we returned to collect our cases around 6pm, they were very sympathetic and said they would find us somewhere to sleep should the airports be closed. ... I think it would be better to give the directions to the back entrance of the hotel from the Vaporeta boat stop at night, as the bridge to the left of the stop is very dark at night and easily missed. Once you arrive the private bridge and secluded courtyard entrance are so romantic. the hotel is beautifull and recently refurbished and was an old destinquished Venetian family home. We took out breakfasts in the courtyard it was like all the Venetian dreams you have ever had. The Hotel is situated in a perfect position to reach all of the sights even on foot if desired. There are terrific bars and resteraunts within 100 meters walk of the hotel and this is so convenient in the evenings. ... I would reccomend this hotel to any of my friends. It is a warm friendly place. With a wonderfull atmosphere just the right size for the personal touch. The staff could not be more helpfull. We found it excellent value for money and the best position. The rooms are furnished to a high standard, our room had a balcony over the canal which made it so romantic. The breakfast was in the continental style, and the waitress would return again and agin to make sure all was well and you had enough to eat.

Unfortunely, the turkish bath was out of order for maintenace. Before the reservation i asked if the price included the use of the turkish bath, and the answer was yes and i coulīd use it, but they didnīt inform me that it was out of order. ... The breakfast was deleivered at the table by the employes and the owner's also, usually itīs the client that serves himself, that was quiet nice. They also provided an map of the region and precious touristic informations. ... Quiet, nice, friendly, familiar, clean and at a good location, near the boat station.

Were greeted by the owners of the hotel, they were anticipating our arrival, greeted us by name and made us feel welcome immediately. ... The accomodation was excellent, more than we had hoped for. Excpetionally well presented and spotlessly clean. Nothing was too much trouble for the owners or their staff. ... Check out was hassle free, again owners courteous, offered us option to leave our baggage at the hotel while we were continuing to visit Venice on that day and helperd with additional information about the places we wished to visit. ... Delightful, comfortable and friendly. Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone and my wife and I are planning a return visit within the next couple of years. We will definitely be staying again at Hotel Al Ponte Mocenigo.

Excellent staff and very well appointed, spacious rooms. Proximity to vaporetto was very valuable, especially in exiting Venice since Piazale Roma (airport bus) is only a few stops away.

We arrived at Marco Polo Airport in Venice and, as directed by the hotel, asked our vaparetto driver to call and let them know we were on our way. We were met by Walter at Vaparetto Stop San Stae where he greeted us and helped carry our luggage to the hotel which is very close to the stop. The vaparetto would have pulled right up to the hotel but the tide was low and therefore the water level not high enough for the taxi to do so. We checked in with no problem. Two of the three rooms were ready so our friends were shown to the 'Jr. Suite'. We were shown to room #1. This is a smallish room but beautifully appointed and spotless. A larger room upstairs was going to become vacant that same day and Walter asked if we would be interested in seeing this room. We said ok. Just as we were leaving to go out and have some lunch, Walter said that the room was empty and asked if we wanted to go and see it. We did. We said we would take it. Walter and his staff took care of moving our things from room #1 to room #9, the Red Room! Everything about our arrival experience was perfect. ... Walter and Sandro, owners of Hotel Al Ponte Mocenigo could not have been more accommodating. The staff was also very pleasant and accommodating. We had lovely breakfast every morning. Wonderful cappuccino, espresso, juice, yogurt, fresh fruit and those croissants!!!!! The hotel was spotless in every way. Very clean, neat, well laid out. The hospitality was always perfect. After being out all day, we would most often stop for a glass of wine or prosecco in the lobby and chat with whomever was on duty. Again, at night, coming in from dinner, whatever we wanted, no problem. The website is great but, as everything else, much better in person. ... Check out was very smooth. The water taxi came at the exact time we had requested. The rate we paid to stay at this hotel was a great value for the money. People are astounded when I tell them what we paid. Hotel Al Ponte Mocinego is probably the best kept secret in Venezia right now!!!! ... The Hotel is very well situated. It took only about 10 minutes to walk to the Rialto Bridge. And we got to walk by the fish market and vegetable market every day (that they were open). Every day either Walter or Sandro and sometimes both are on duty. The night desk person, Giovanni, is also very pleasant. When we were going out for dinner, a map was printed for us and lines drawn on the mape to show exactly how to get to our destination. ... Hotel Al Ponto Mocinego is a small, 10 room, hotel perfectly located just around the corner to a water taxi stop and about a 10 minute walk to Rialto Bridge. It is off the beaten path in a quiet neighborhood but well situated for exploring the beautiful city of Venezia. The hosts, Walter and Sandro and their staff could not be more accommodating and pleasant.

Walter and Sandro were great hosts. The hotel was even better than we thought it would be and we were greeted very well, Finding it was a slight challenge but it was my map reading! ... An excellent Venice experience. We have stayed in several different locandas and residenzes...this hotel was of a very high standard for the price. ... breakfast in the courtyard was lovely...the charm of the place...the reclaimed architectural details... ... I know the perfect little hotel for you to stay in when you're in Venice!

We were extremely pleased at our arrival. The owner of the hotel was there to greet us and show us to our beautiful room. He provided us with information about the hotel, and he gave us tips about what to see in Venice. The courtyard of the hotel was absolutely beautiful, and the hotel itself was very charming. ... The hotel was clean, modern and beautiful. We were very fortunate to have the opportunity to stay there. ... Breakfast in the courtyard of the hotel was the perfect way to start a day in Venice. Because the hotel is not large, we received a great deal of personal service, and we had the opportunity to meet the staff of the hotel. ... We were very fortunate to have stayed at Hotel Al Ponte Mocenigo. The rooms are beautiful, and the hotel is clean, unique and charming. I plan to recommend this hotel to friends and family who visit Venice, and I hope that we can return as well.

We were very pleased with the hotel and could not fault the situation of the hotel, the staff, service or the facilities.Next time in Venice we will certainly stay here again. The rooms were spotlessly clean and nicely decorated in the style of Venice and breakfast in the little courtyard was lovely. ... No problems. ... Website description and photos true. ... I would recommend , and have already recommended the hotel to friends and relatives.

The directions from the Vaporetto station on the canal to the hotel were only challenging because of our unfamiliarity with Venice and the difficulty of understanding the relationship of streets and canals. ... The reason we rated this property 'better than on the web site' goes beyond the superior physical environment of the rooms and the buildings. It has everything to do with the owner/operator, Walter, and his staff, Donatello and Carlito as well as housekeeping. They are a happy combination that make Venice an outstanding experience and wonderful memory by their attitude, their helpfulness and their ability to assist you in 'joining' the real neighborhood as you tour the remarkable sights. We are grateful for the memories. ... Everything was in order and check out was handled as professionally, personally and effortlessly as possible. ... There are two entrances (two doors) to the Hotel that somehow need to be differentiated in the directions. That was initially confusing for us. Perhaps we didn't read the directions closely enough, but it would have helped to have that more clearly described. ... A wonderful experience - combining the comfort of a renovated 15th century Venetian house with the opportunity to feel as though friends are showing you their city as they share their ways of life there. Really unique and really exceptional.

It was difficult to get to the main entrance with bagages due to the steps. However the second entrance was available, which avoid the steps. ... A friendly hotel in a central location with easy access to all major sites. Hotel is clean, tidy and the staff is flexible especially for breakfast. I would recommend that all my friend stay here.

The staff was amazing! They were so helpful with directions (they gave us multiple maps and spent time explaining where we should go and how we should get there) and went out of their way to accomodate all of our requests. The staff was also very helpful in securing a ride to the airport at 4:30AM! We were picked up by a water boat right from the hotel's door...very easy and convenient! The breakfast was also wonderful...served outside in a charming courtyard. ... I am thrilled that we found such a good deal in Venice. The room was much larger than we expected, as was the bathroom (which was obviously new), and the staff was incredibly kind and helpful. The hotel has a good location too...only a 10/15 minute walk to St. Mark's Square. It is a very charming and welcoming hotel--I would certainly recommend it to a friend and I would love to stay there again!

It was okay... we arrived late in the evening, and did not know that our water taxi could take us to the door of the hotel. It stopped instead about 50 meters away and we had to lug our bags the rest of the way in the dark. ... The room we got was extremely small and right behind the receptionist desk, so it was a bit nosy. It also had a slightly funny smell (but maybe that was the result of being so close to the canal). We would probably go back again, presuming that we could get a larger and better room; the staff was helpful and friendly, the breakfast was great and the little courtyard was very pleasant. ... The TV got a number of English-speaking channels, and it was nice to be able to stay in touch with the world via CNN. ... Small, private-feeling hotel, about a ten to 15 minute walk from the Rialto Bridge (depending on how many times you stop). Located in a quiet spot in San Croce. The staff is excellent and speak English very well. The morning breakfasts were lovely, and the courtyard was a great place to start the morning.
