The stylish Novecento Boutique Hotel is tucked away in Calle del Dose, off Campo San Maurizio, between St. Mark's Square and the Accademia Gallery. The hotel offers its guests the chance to stay enveloped in an evocative atmosphere, created by a décor steeped in Orientalism and a passion for exquisite materials and fabrics. Influenced by the style of the early 1900s, it is no coincidence that the hotel draws its main inspiration from Mariano Fortuny, painter, fashion designer, scenographer and known for his ability to experiment in all areas of art. He moved to Venice in 1889 and made the historic Palazzo Pesaro-Orfei his home. From here "Fortuny style" spread throughout Europe. |
Ideal for anyone looking for something a little different to the traditional Venetian hotel, to sleep in this celebrate hotel surrounded by masterpieces of art is a unique experience and, given that each of the individually decorated rooms has its own style, guests must come at least nine times for a full immersion of art. |
In fact a stay at Novecento Boutique Hotel, with its unique and stylish décor, it's like walking into an Arabian dream with reminiscent of Marrakesh souks and medieval boudoirs. Moreover, in the lovely little brick-walled and sunny garden, with its wicker armchairs, deep pink linen, arun lilies, jasmine, oleander, bamboo and tangled roses, guests can have breakfast, read a book, or simply relax and chat comfortably with other guests. |
The staff is friendly and attentive, as has come to expected from the Romanelli family, hoteliers in Venice for generations. The friendliness, charm and helpfulness of the Romanelli's and their staff - who will leap to satisfy any and all requests - will make your stay in this magical city the most pleasurable as possible. |
