We found the waterbus clearly but when it came time to find the hotel we had to ask local merchants how to find the hotel

The time of year made it very hot and sticky and there was only a floor fan to relieve us from the heat. There is also a church that is very close by that did sound thier bells every hour, I enjoyed this, I do not think that my husband did very much, again it was too hot of time of year to really enjoy I will be going back,though!

Have stayed at Locando Novo before but this time around we found it to be a better experience as we had more time there.

A truly suprising hotel in a very good location as it's not far from the Rialto bridge. The rooms are very good and the staff were excellent.

The staff at Locondo Nuovo made our stay wonderful. The fresh baked breakfast was the best we had anywhere during our two week stay in Italy.

Since Venice does not use street addresses, it would be helpful to give more specific information about where to turn right into the little alley on which Locanda Novo is located. Another hotel has a much larger sign at that point. Perhaps Locanda Novo should also put up an equally large sign. Or they could indicate the location of the alley with reference to a business nearby.

It is a small, quiet hotel in an old building, at a convenient location -- near restaurants and other retail services. Premises are spotlessly cleanly and recently redecorated. Staff is very helpful, although they struggle with English. Short walk to vaporetti and Rialto area. We would return.

Arriving by waterbus from the airport to Fondamente Novo stop then a 10 min walk to L.N. is much easier and quicker

The place was a complete surprise, given the great rates I got for high season. I was amazed with the B&B's beautiful furnishings, cleanliness, and charming, off-the-beaten-track location.

Location should be better stated--is on a quiet, residential street, off the beaten tourist track. (A plus in my opinion) Location, however, is still only 5 mins from Rialto.

Happy with ease of making reservations, able to pay upon arrival/check-out (instead of prepayment), descriptions are fairly accurate.

Great for a peaceful stay in a wonderful city. Get the feel of a real Venice neighborhood while only minutes from major attractions.

Unfortunately, there was a boat race at the time we arrived, and had to walk the two miles to the hotel. (90 Euros for the watertaxi was beyond our budget) It would have been nice to have been forwarned.

Certainly the room I had was on a very quiet side of the building, and generally the property seemed to located in the shade which from speaking with people at other properties, was a major plus in very hot summer weather.

While appearing to be a small property, Locanda Novo in fact was made up of very large airy rooms, even my single room with a seperate bathroom around the corner had an airy feel and was a cool retreat at the height of summer. Character and charm without the ghastly Venetian decor which seemed a feature of other places. If I go back to Venice, I'd go straight back to Locanda Novo, what more can I say. Good value, nice people, quality fittings, and well located, while at the same time cool and quiet.

We are sure you probably heard of the nightmares some people experience making reservation using the internet, expecaially in Venice, Italy. We know people who made reservations, had confirmations, only to arrive in Venice and find their confirmation could not be located, but another room, the only one avilable in another Locanda was available at double the price.
On this particular trip, we experienced that when we arrived in Dubrovnik, Croatia. Having a internet confirmation in hand, we arrived at the Kompas hotel and was told since we did not confirm our reservation 24 hours prior (which we could not because we were travling in other parts of the country) our reservations was cancelled and the room rented. Then they recommended another hotel at double the cost.
Your company, worldby.com is a very welcomed service, particularly the fact that you have asked for follow up information concerning our stay in Locanda Nova. Lancando Nova was excellent. Although having breakfast in your room is nice there is no variation with the food and it gets a bit repetitive after a day or two. We stayed at the hotel last year and realy enjoyed it. The rooms are beautiful. Also the bells from the local chruch ring quite loudly.

Having breakfast delivered to our door was a treat! it arrived on time each morning with the coffee and milk good and hot! Thank you to those brave souls who carried the tray up those incredibly steep flights of stairs to our room!

When we arrived at the front desk to check out there was a problem with using our credit card due to an issue with the processor and availablilty of the 'line'. We were assured it was not our card but something that happens in Venezia frequently. We had to run all over the city trying to find an ATM to withdraw cash from. Meanwhile, we were almost going to miss our boat which would have made us miss our train. It was a very anxious experience, and my recommendation is that visitors be fore-warned about this problem so they can have cash on hand prior to arrival at check out.

You should include a warning about the stairs. We had no problems climbing the steep stairs to the top and were delighted with our 'perch'. But someone elderly or in poor physical shape would have difficulty.

The accommodation was exactly as described and was very acceptable. the staff were helpful. Took a little while to find the hotel as it is down a very narrow side street, and we arrived late at night.

the only thing that was not so good, was after advertising that we could pay by credit card, they wanted cash. It was all sorted out though and we did pay by credit card after seeing the manager.

A proper description and a printable detailed online map from Ca' d'Oro vaporetto stop to the hotel would be necessary. We were wondering around for 15 minutes in the pouring rain and it was not too funny at all.

It would have been very helpful to know that the property did not have an elevator. We had very large luggage and had to haul it up to the attic rooms. If this information was on the website, I would have considered another hotel.
