Staff were polite and helpful. They helped us with ideas on what to do and sorted out a gondola ride for us. Nice wood paneled room, very clean with nice bathroom. ... Good value, very central and comfortable.

The last time i went to italy the standard of hotels was not great, even though they were all rated as four star. I wasn't sure what to expect on this trip, but i was very plesently surprised. The hotel itself provided me with incredible value for money with comfortable, modern rooms. The location was also excellent.
The staff at Palazzo La Scala were very friendly and helpful. They made my stay in Venezia even more enjoyable.

We would definitely stay at La Scala again. It is centrally located and exceptionally clean and well maintained. The staff is wonderful, especially Michele. The breakfast was filling and the room well appointed. Standard guest rooms are small but nicely decorated and the bathrooms are beautiful. ... More explicit directions. We wandered about for quite a while before finding the hotel. No one in the shops nearby could direct us or even knew the name of the major calle we needed to find.

To be honest, we asked the front sesk if they had just opened becuase the place was immaculately clean. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the location was great as it was very close to San Marco Square but somewhat of the beaten path. We would recommend this 'gem' to anyone. ... Dissapointed we had to leave! ... I cannot recall if it is on the website or not but the hotel offered a free shuttle to Murano island to take a tour of the glass factory there that I belive is owned by the owner of the hotel. This was a very nice 'perk' that, if the hotel wnats to advertise, should be on the website.

This place is HARD TO FIND!!! I would recommend leaving someone with the luggage where you get dropped off from the ferry, and send someone ahead to scout it out- otherwise you end up dragging your bags up and down several bridges...
It's worth the find though- it was great! ... This place is wonderful- Venice is very expensive relative to the rest of Italy and this is a great value for the money. The room was large, wired in-wall radio and great TV, minibar, nice bathroom, etc. Breakfast was yummy as well. Ask at the front desk if you want to do a gondola ride- they will recommend a place to you where you share the gondola with a few people for MUCH less $$ than doing it alone. I would recommend this place to anyone!

Extremely convenient location. After we came in to the train station we bought a water vapura pass for the two days we would be in Venice. We got off at the Rialto Bridge exit and walked to the right. Just watch for the names of the streets to be written on the sides of the building. ... Everyone was very helpful. The breakfast was wonderful. The staff gave us helpful information regarding sites to visit and other things. We were upgraded in our room. It was beautiful and very clean. The bathroom was large by European standards. The location was great and right between Rialato Bridge and St Marks Square. ... Very clean, great location, excellent breakfast. Want to come back again.

Great location in a welcoming and homely atmosphere, very helpful staff. Room was small but comfortable. More like a guesthouse than a hotel!

Hard to find locations in Venice without very specific directions. Streets are in reality stone alleys. Hints on using the water taxi would be helpful. Hotel is on a narrow alley and the entrance is not apparent. ... The room was very well appointed but smaller than pictured on the website. The bathroom was very clean with modern fixtures. ... Staff was very helpful and pleasant. ... Great location. Short walk to Piazza San Marco, the markets and shopping. ... Charming Venice experience. Tasteful accommodations, clean, helpful/friendly staff and great location.

They offer a Bottle of Wine to my Wife and I because of our Honeymoon trip but we did not get anything. ... They should give some tips to their guest to make them easy the arrival to the Hotel. Examples: How to use the transportation, the agreements that the hotel has with some parking companies at Piazzale Roma are no clear anywhere. ... An excellent Hotel but very expensive.

Very clean and comfortable room. We were upgrade for a small increase in fee. The only downside is we found sleeping at night to be somewhat difficult due to the pedestrian and merchant noierse outside (windows were shut tight).

It was great but the room was much smaller than I expected of a 4 * hotel. I would have also expected things like tea and coffee facilities in the room - I have recieved those in 3* hotels. I did think it was more of a good 3* hotel than a 4 * hotel. ... As in no.10. It is definitely worth staying there for the brilliant location and friendly service. It is a lovely but simple hotel - no frills.

We were very happy with our experience. The only probelme with our room was that it was very dark.Additional lighting in the room would have made all difference. ... Well situated, very clean and nice friendly staff. We found our room very dark but otherwise very comfortable.
