 In the heart of Venice, few steps from Saint Mark's square and Rialto Bridge, a stone's throw from many others Venice treasures you will find Hotel Palazzo Vitturi. Overlooking "Campo Santa Maria Formosa" and its church, located in one of the most prestigious areas of Venice, our hotel is situated on the "noble floor", completely renovated, of an ancient 13th century Venetian palace, where you can admire the gothic architecture, the typical Venetian floor and suggestive original fresco paintings.
Good to know: Although it is easy to locate the square (campo) where the hotel is situated, there was no exterior sign with the name. |

From the Venice Airport "Marco Polo":
Alilaguna shuttle will take you directly to San Zaccaria Station (close Saint's Mark Square) approximately in 1 hour. Walk towards "Calle delle Rasse" until you reach Campo San Filippo e Giacomo (you will see a Newspaper Stand on the middle of the square), take "Calle drio la Chiesa", cross a little bridge ("Ponte storto" and follow the street until you come out in "Ruga Giuffa", turn left immediately and walk towards "Ruga Giuffa" until you find Campo Santa Maria Formosa: on the left side you will find Hotel Palazzo Vitturi, just in front of the church.
Otherwise ATVO bus shuttle service (line 5) will bring you in 20 minutes to Piazzale Roma Terminal, then take public water bus line 1 or 82 (it leaves every 10 minutes) until Rialto bridge. Get off and walk until you reach Campo San Bartolomeo. Cover the "sottoportego della Bissa" and walk through Salizada San Lio (about 100 metres), turn on the left for "Calle del Mondo Nuovo" and after crossing a bridge you'll find Campo Santa Maria Formosa. Hotel Palazzo Vitturi is located just in front of you, opposite the left side of the church.
From the train station, Piazzale Roma or Tronchetto Island:
Take public water bus line 1 or 82 (it leaves every 10 minutes) until Rialto bridge. Get off and walk until you reach Campo San Bartolomeo. Cover the "Sottoportego della Bissa" and walk through Salizada San Lio (about 100 metres), turn on the left for "Calle del Mondo Nuovo" and after crossing a bridge you'll find Campo Santa Maria Formosa. Hotel Palazzo Vitturi is located just in front of you, opposite the left side of the church.
By Taxi:
If you take a water taxi, it will bring you directly to the closer canal, less than 50 metres from our Hotel. This service is available from the Airport (approximately 30 minutes), from the train station and from Piazzale Roma (approximately 15 minutes). |
