Thr Restaurant attached to the Hotel - allegedly the oldest in Venice - was superb - and we were given a 15% discount from the price as residents.
The rooms and bathrooms were superb but one room lacked a view of any kind. However we were still delighted with the Hotel and the situation is magnificent.

We weren't expecting the lane that accesses the hotel to be so difficult to find, there is little signage and the lane is very narrow.

The room and bathroom was excellent, on occassion the owner could have been a little friendlier. Would stay there again.

We found the Bus and Vaporeto numbers mixed up, I gave the owner a print out of the site instructions and he was going to have it changed. The on line map and instructions were helpful, could do with more detail about the lane to access hotel.

Very good accommodation with suprisingly large rooms in an excellent location. A little difficult to find, but without question would stay here again.

The Rialto Bridge waterbus stop was very congested, and handling our baggage up and down the steps was not easy.

The second room booked did not have wardrobe space that could be used. There were four hooks mounted on the wall but no hangers to speak of. They did however manage to find four which helped. No fridge or safe. The absence of a mirror in the second room was also a porblem. The room we occupied had a wonderful buit-in wardrobe but only 4/5 hangers. The safe was not fixed to anything. The two rooms were not located as suggested on your website. It was a long way to the top! But very private.

For someone not familiar with Venice, it was very difficult to find the location. The starting point has to be the mainland.
Also, it is located on very narrow walkways. Care should be taken to keep them clean.
The accommodations were basic but quite adequate. We were supposed to get two beds in each of the two rooms. They were fixed by the second day.

Amenities are good but someone should pay better attention to cleaning the floors - like under the bed.

The main issue is the directions on finding the property. It is hidden, at the end of a narrow 10m passageway around the corner from another 10m narrow passageway in an area that is easy to get to if you know where you are going. Unfortunately to the location were very confusing.

Tiny rooms, extremely well located relative to the main Venice open air market and within easy walking distance of San Marco Piazza. Amenities and piccolo colazione are basic but not great. Overall a fair value for the money.

Once the manager opened the door to our room (room No. 6), the room was extremly hot. He put it down, that the previous occupants has turned up the heating too high. We turned the heating completly off, but in was still unbearable. We had to have the windows open day and night to get some respite.

Did not change towels or bed linen once during our stay. Room was very small and dark. Not a double bed, but two singles pushed together. Once the room service pushed the beds apart, as we were than allowed to have two seperate blankets. But did not clean the space between the beds, as there was now a lot of dust. We cleaned it ourselves. Heating was not indivial controlling. No alarm clock.

small stuffy room, room was not inviting for an afternoon rest or nap, very small breakfast, poor TV reception, noise and food smell from restaurant kitchen beneath the room. Also very early noise from setting up of the fish market, as we had to sleep with open window.
Hotel felt very safe with 24 hour reception.

We were allocated a 2 bed appartment instead of a 4 bed room. This was very impressive and we were delighted with our stay.

The room was small.However it was exceptionally clean.It was also quite moisy due to the sounds of other people staying there - we were in a room which everyone had to pass by.

We would recommend it as a good value place to stay close by to the Rialto and we would probably be happpy to stay there again. However not great if you want canal views.

Nice hotel hidden away down an alley. The room was gorgous with antique looking furniture and nice beds, and the bathroom was better than the one I have at home. My baby sister left her doll on accident, and the hotel is actually mailing it back to me here in the states.

Locanda Poste Vecie is a very nice place to stay in Venice.the location is fantastic,the room we've got was very clean, cosy and spacious with all conveniences and the most important thing is that the price is very reasonable. i would recommend this hotel to all my friends and family!!!

This was a delightful place to stay. The location is great, near the Rialto Bridge but yet very quiet. The bathroom was spacious, and oh so clean. Our only complaint was the regulating of the heat. It was too hot even after we thought we'd turned it off. Fellow travelers stayed a second night and turned it COMPLETELY off and cracked a window (of course mosquito season is almost over) and did well.

Book it, it's a delight, just address heat/ac concerns immediately.

The staff were all very helpful. There had been a mix up with our room, but they had sorted it out before we arrived.

The room was amazing, really spacious and clean. One the second night we got upgraded to the superior room with a view overlooking the canal, for no extra price. It was a brilliant hotel in a fantastic location, we could not have stayed in a better hotel as far as we are concerned, especially for the price.

The hotel is quite hard to find, but is very near to the Rialto Bridge. It is quite a small hotel, so you are looked after well. The staff are very friendly and accomodating. The rooms are lovely and spacious. I would recommend anyone staying in Venice to go to this hotel.

The only negative was the amount of stairs, with no-one to carry bags up on arrival- good job we're young and healthy, and there was no wardrobe in the room, just some coat hangers on a hook.

The owner (I think he was the owner anyway) kindly let me leave my case for a few hours after we checked out, so we could look around before going to the airport.

Not much breakfast generally.
Kept awake a bit on the second night by what sounded like someone banging nails into wood somewhere.

By all means stay at your property. It's in the heart of everything and the only negative thing we could say was to have a better way to get over the bridge as with all our luggage, it was very hard to carry then up and down the stairs. Possibly the city needs to consider the possibility of providing better access for seniors and handicap persons. We were disappointed at the choice we made upon a recommendation to eat at one of the resturants. Had to pay cover charge, and food was very inadequate as to size and cost. A rip-off but you learn as you go. Our experience with the hotel was most pleasant and will definitely stay there on our next visit.

Very helpful staff, clean and inviting, nice washroom. Unfortunately we went New Year's eve but, to our surprise nothing happens in Venice New Year's eve ( even small towns have fireworks and town square concerts etc.)and restaurant prices were astronomical for that night for just a meal - no dancing etc! So we didn't get to eat at the hotel's famous little fish restaurant that we had anticipated.( Not for $150 per person!) But La Serenissima , although cold and wet, is still so lovely...

Very nice hotel - would stay there again. It was clean, but very minimalistic. They served a very nice continental breakfast. Very hard to find, you have to go down a small back alley - but overall in a very good location.

The rooms were very nice. The breakfast was as basic as it gets (roll and coffee). Good location to shopping. When I asked for extra pillows and an iron I was told this is not a 5 star Hotel.

the restaurant area is a seperate business around the corner and as depicted on the web site it gives the impression that this is part of the accommodation where you would have your breakfast etc. The staff did not advertise the restaurant and we found it by chance. The noisy fish market wakes you early so earplugs where useful

We stayed an additional day. We did get a fair price for the extra day. When we were ready to check out the man at the reception desk did not know how to operate the credit card reader/scanner.

You did a fair job in the description of the hotel. The picture of an entrance to the hotel is a little deceptive. That is actually the restuarant. You may want to clarify that.

The only comment I would make is that the breakfast was very basic, and the dining area was very stuffy - air con definitely required.

We didn't realize the historical significance of our accommodations until our arrival. What a find! It was fabulous being so close to the fish market, in the heart of Venice. It couldn't have been better!

Nice room, good central location, nearly impossible to find the hotel door, we found it on dumb luck right away which was a real treat. Visitors would not imagine these tiny narrow lanes of about 3 feet are actually streets with addresses.

great -but we were very tired and exact directions were confusing, it was over a bridge we couldnt find, but could see it over the water? it took us several attempts to actually find the office and we were lugging heavy suitcases so that could be better done .

proprietor arranged water taxi direct to airport, expensive, but absolutely amazing experience and worth every euro! ok price for 3 of us, 85 euro. to leave venice by water, picked up at our accom. was such a wonderful ride. and stressfree after we had shopped till we dropped and experienced a lot of what venice has to offer in 2 1/2 days. we loved it all and the accom was perfect: location excellent, right near riato bridge, service, great rooms to relax with all facilities, breakfast included was great also.

Loved the location as is not as hectic as the other side of the bridge and has a beautiful piazza with music and lovely outdoor seating for 2 or 3 restaurants.
Not impressed by the meager' breakfast ' served in the cold and drafty restaurant.( choice of tea or cappuccino and a plain croissant with jam and butter )
