There appeared to be a misunderstanding about contacting the owner prior to reaching the apartment. This was not a significant problem and the owner was most welcoming and helpful when we met.

It would be better if deposits could be paid by credit card, rather than by bank transfer, as bank transfer is subject to undisclosed fees which were deducted from the deposit.
The accommodation was very suitable for my large family and we felt at home during our Venice stay.

Neat and tidy, close to Vaporetto stop, convenient to shops and restaurants in Castello, an authentic (not touristic) suburb of Venice.
