one suggestion...a refridgerator in the rooms who be wonderful due to the hot summer,although ice was availalbe from reception when ever requested

Superb hotel situated a few yards from the water bus stop on lido island.Excellent buffet breakfast & well equiped rooms furnished and decorated to a very high standered,in my opion one of the best value for money hotels in venice,based on six visit to venice in the past two years staying in various locations.

We were very pleased with the quality and position of the hotel. The rooms were excellent and both had exceptional views over the lagoon, which is what we had requested.

A good quality hotel, with air conditioning, excellent location with views out over the lagoon and directly in front of the water bus which runs every 10 minutes into the Grand Canal. 100 meters to restaurants and bars. Staff were very welcoming and helpful.

The Hotel is extremely well situated opposite the boat stops, this prevents carrying your case to far which makes the Hotel even more appealing.

I was very pleased that the room we were allocated had a balcony and also a view of the sea.

Should anyone want to visit Venice then I would recommend Hotel Riviera as it is away from the busy areas yet these are reachable within 10 minutes by boat.

I would say that the Riveria is of the comfortable older European style with lots of personality and splendor. The opening of the shuttered windows overlooking the canal was a delight in the morning. Soft breeezes coming through the room and the chatter of voices making their way to unknown desitinations. The feel was not of a modern 'American' inn, rather a escape into a time and place still foreign.
It was very, very lovely.

I had asked for a twin bedded room as I was travelling with my son, and I was given a 'suite' ie a double bedded room with a single bedded room attached

Beautiful hotel, reasonably priced and very convenient from the Vaporetto stop. I would definately stay there again.

I E-mailed the hotel directly and they told me exactly how to get there from Treviso Airport.

Some Customer Service training would be advisable. Staff were polite and helpful, but only when when asked. They never volunteered any information. i.e. they never informed us that we were entitled to vouchers for the beach, breakfast times, if there was a dining service, etc.

A beautiful hotel, ideally placed. If we had stayed near the main square, we would probably not have even considered visiting the Lido.
After seeing all the main attractions, we would come back to eat near our hotel because, apart form being much cheaper, it gave us the opportunity to spend an hour at the beach.

The staff were very welcoming and endevoured to accomadate us at every opportunity. The breakfast was wonderful & the view from the room was beautiful as we saw Venice from the window.
When we go back we will be staying at the Hotel Riviera.

They can book the Opera at Verona, very close to retaurants & a stones throw from the pier.

Very welcoming & freindly, clean inviting rooms with great views of Venice. Breakfast is good with plenty of choice.

It was 9.30 pm when we arrived and were very hungry. The man on reception was so pleasant, he booked us in, told us to go get something to eat and he would ensure our bags were brought up to the room. He was as good as his word.

Lovely hotel. We requested a room with a balcony and sea view. We got same, beautiful room, great balcony, and view of the lagoona, quiet and peaceful at night. very pleasant stay. Staff very helpful and friendly, breakfast v.good. A hotel which I would find very safe if travelling on my own. Will definitely stay there again. excellent value for money.

One of the gentlemen at reception was extremely helpful to us, even going so far as to help us check with the airport regarding our lost luggage.

i was greeted with a very well spoken receptionist and was helped up to my room and made to feel very settled!

Though the rooms and bathroom were very small, my husband and I enjoyed the hotel very much. The front desk was extremely hospitable and helpful. We enjoyed staying in Lido vs. in the middle of Venice and would stay at the Hotel Riviera on our next trip to Venice.

I don't remember a voucher. Was this something that was e-mailed to me? If so, it was not required for check-in.

The shower is extremely small and uncomfortable to use. Italy requires a 3 pronged adapter.

It was very much noise from the Street and the annonciation of the swimming Pool was irritating for me.

If one has lagoon view it must be told about the noise of the street.
