We arrived by water taxi which was very enjoyable and therefore we were relaxed even though we had a long journey. First impressions on seeing the hotel were very good.
...
The only negative I would have is that we did not have access to a baby high chair for breakfast, therefore we had to use the pushchair that we had brought which was not very suitable for feeding a very small child.
...
Hotel were very kind and allowed us an extra two hours in our rooms without charge or any fuss.
...
I think to advise guests to take a water taxi from the airport to maximise the enjoyment of arriving at the hotel with heavy baggage etc. and to book a return trip at the same time as the trip to the hotel from the airport. Especially so for a larger group as the normal fare for a public taxi is quite expensive and the walk to the hotel would be difficult with suitcases.
...
A very friendly hotel, good quality rooms and common areas, good polite staff, rooms cleaned every day, good selection for adults and children at breakfast, wonderful views of venice and its own docking/landing station for private taxi's. The inclusive beach hire was very welcome too and easy to utilise. The children were made to feel very welcome and our 8 month old baby was welcomed.

Very welcoming
...
The staff gave us personal service. It was good that the safe deposit box was included in the price.
...
The venice pass allows travel on all forms of public transport. A bus to the vaporetto jetty stops at the hotel every 20 mins and takes 2 mins to the jetty. Vaporettos to St Marks Square are every 10 minutes and take between 10 and 20 minutes depending on the route.
...
The best of both worlds. 4* quality accommodation at half the venice price but totally accessable.

Excellent all round except that we booked 2 de luxe rooms and one was much better than the other. The one was very small for the extra money we paid.

Very good. Kept our luggage for us till we were ready to leave

Certainly reccomend but ask for one of the more spacious rooms. Staff were very friendly and helpful, service was good and it was very clean. Possibly the buffet breakfast could be a bit more varied.

We arrived late in the evening - I was worried that this would be a problem because nowhere on the web site was reference to reception opening hours. I believe this would be a beneficial addition to the web site.
...
A mention of ferry times and costs. Also information on the 3 day travel card would be good.
...
The hotel is far enough away from the bustle of Venice but only a quick and easy ferry ride into the center. If you are looking for peace and quiet stay at the Russo Palace Hotel
